"I ordered the chicharron verde, and while the flavor was good, there was barely any meat, and I forgot to add any extras. The al pastor and rice were mediocre and lacked flavor. The beans tasted old, and the overall presentation of the food was messy. No one informed me that I arrived just 5 minutes before closing, so if that's the case, it would be nice to let customers know instead of assuming they’re okay with takeout. I could have easily chosen to dine somewhere else. P.S. I went ahead and added the hours for this restaurant since they weren’t listed anywhere."

The food was so delicious that I completely forgot to take any pictures! I had the steak burrito, and it was amazing.

One of the biggest ripoffs ever. Your grilled cheese sandwich will have more meat in it than their $11 burrito. $3.49 for a miniature street taco

Not bad at all! It's essentially Mexican fast food, but there are plenty of options. The fillings in the gorditas are a bit sparse, but overall, it’s a good experience. I’ll definitely be coming back! View menu

The food was just OK, nothing stood out. The Carne Asada was tasteless and portions are small. I ordered my meal and guacamole, didn't get my guacamole, had to ask again for it. All in all, not a bad place but there are a lot better options within the neighborhood.

Ashley is incredibly kind and has a strong work ethic. She treats this grandmother (Nana) the way she would want her own Nana to be treated! The food is excellent, and the cleanliness of both the restroom and restaurant is impressive. Customer service is clearly a top priority here. I would definitely give them a ten if I could!

As a first-time visitor, I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent; my food arrived quickly after I placed my order. I tried the original burrito with chorizo and egg, and it was absolutely delicious! They also served two types of salsa, both of which were tasty, but I found myself really enjoying the green salsa the most. View menu

This new location is conveniently closer to home for me, which is definitely a plus. I recommend placing your order ahead of time to avoid a long wait for your food. They offer a variety of specials that you can take advantage of. I tried the family pack of 10 gorditas, which comes with rice and beans on the side, and they were delicious. My only wish is that they would add more filling to the gorditas, as some of them were a bit sparse.

5 stars. Guess I should have read the reviews before going here. No wonder there was no customers. I came in and nobody greets you. The cashier had a face like I was doing her an inconvenience. The food has no flavor. The Gorditas have no toppings. Totally not want I’m use to when eating a gordita. My food was too go, otherwise I would have asked for toppings. Which I did when I ordered. Pero la señora con su carota yo creo no le importo. DONT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
