This place is a hidden treasure that never fails to bring a smile to my face. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is prepared simply yet wonderfully. The fish here is exceptional! I highly recommend it!

Dining on the sidewalk transported me straight to the essence of eating in Rome. The grilled octopus was outstanding, and the homemade linguine loaded with seafood was both abundant and delightful. As soon as we arrived, we were blown away by how wonderful the place was. The quality of the Italian food was exactly what my friends and I had hoped for. All five of us are business owners, and I ordered the Dover Sole, which was beautifully filleted right in front of me. Every dish, from appetizer to dessert, was incredible. I highly recommend IL Castello. The owner is very attentive and genuinely focuses on providing memorable hospitality experiences. My friends and I have already decided to come back next month!

yep, as good as it gets! This has become one of our two go to ' restaurants. The food is outstanding. Everything is made to order. The pasta is always fresh and al dente, cooked just right. Most fish is also properly cooked, not overdone and dry.A bit noisy when they get crowded on weekend nights. Our favorites are the Cesar salad made with extra garlic a la Larry is sublime( tasty). We always enjoy the linguine with fresh clams,as well as the other pasta. on and on, all terrific. Closed on Mondays, when we go to Lennys, their sister restaurant nearby, that has equally as good food plus prime steak.

Last Wednesday, my friend and I enjoyed lunch on the heated patio, and it was an amazing experience. The back area felt secure and inviting, thanks to the heaters and well-spaced tables. Lenny delivered exceptional service, recommending a delicious and affordably priced bottle of wine, and even took the time to split our shared entrees onto individual plates in the kitchen. It felt like dining in a professional Italian home, surrounded by delicious food. We ended our meal with a delightful cappuccino and homemade limoncello. We highly recommend this restaurant. Il Castello is simply wonderful. The owner, who also takes the orders, embodies everything you desire in a restaurant host. He is charming and well-informed about his menu, knowing just when to engage with guests and when to give them space—he truly makes the place what it is. The food is fantastic, with every dish exceeding expectations. I always try to order from the specials when I visit. Additionally, their desserts all look amazing, but I can only personally vouch for the cannoli, which is outstanding; I order it every time. This has become my go-to restaurant, and I'm really glad it's in my neighborhood.

I particularly enjoyed the Dover sole, which was prepared with a delightful white lemon sauce. The duck was beautifully crisp on the outside while remaining moist and tender on the inside, complemented by a tart cranberry sauce that wasn't overly sweet. I do miss the table-side preparation of the Caesar salad and the finishing touches on the fish, as those elements always added a special touch to our meals here. For your convenience, they offer valet parking if needed, and there are plenty of street parking options available, as well as additional spaces in the Metro North parking lot nearby. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

TLDR: AVOID the valet service like the plague! Lots of misses in this restaurant, but when you find a good dish it's really good. Order wisely! Overall rating: B- We made a reservation for 8 people for Sunday at 1pm via OpenTable. They advertise valet parking outside but actually finding/getting anyone to help you with your car is a NIGHTMARE. Twice when dropping off the car AND picking up the car, the valet looked my friend in the face and walked away! Both times I needed to go back into the restaurant to ask for the valet.
