"If you haven't visited Irrawaddy's yet, you definitely should! I took two other couples there for a special meal, and it was amazing. We ordered our food family-style, which allowed everyone to sample various dishes, and everything was delicious! We started with the Paratha Bread and the Tea Leaf Salad, and then each of us chose a main dish, all of which were fantastic. My only minor issue is that it's located in Stanton, which makes it quite a drive from our cities (Orange, Huntington Beach, and Costa Mesa), but it’s absolutely worth the trip. I can't recommend this place highly enough!"

Tea leaf salad here is not as spicy as I’ve had in the Bay Area Burmese restaurants.

Out of the half dozen different Burmese restaurants I've been to, it's definitely been the best. I wish I lived near it.

The food was excellent, but it was quite pricey, and with the restaurant being empty, I would have preferred to be seated further away from the loud conversations at the next table. The tea leaf lamb was outstanding.

What a wonderful experience. The Fish curry and tea leave salad were delightful. We ate family style and shared our dishes. Also had the samosas, basil beef and a lamb dish. All were excellent with the fish and salad being my favorite. View menu

This was my first time eating Burmese food it was an amazing experience! The vegetarian options were delicious just perfect in their blend of spices. Especially the egg curry with okra- a very unique combination flavor. All staff were very nice courteous Highly recommend this place.

Authentic Burmese cuisine with local flavors. A great variety to choose from. I love their Burmese salads which are healthy as well as tasty. A great ambience with Burmese decor. Must try. Parking: It’s a strip center with no parking issues any time of the day and any day of the week.

We discovered Burmese food not too long ago and my wife fell in love with Tea salads. This place made a very good tea salad, but I liked another one I had which also added garlic chips. The coconut curry shrimp was very good and the eggplant curry. Overall we really enjoyed the meal and would come back again. View menu

I have never had Burmese food before nor did I know what to expect. But this place was AMAZING. I'm semi picky and sensitive to some things but this place had it all. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, whatever! And it was all soooo good! The family or whoever runs it is so amazing, kind, and helpful. The prices are amazing for the amount of food you get. I cant recommend enough

I ordered Burmese-style pad thai and found a long hair in the noodles. I was very disappointed and ended up having to throw the food away. I was really craving this dish, so it was especially upsetting to find hair in it, which completely ruined my appetite. I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially since the prices are already high, making it not worth the taste. What a waste of $18.

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
