"First of all, the service is outstanding—you truly feel welcomed and well cared for. The fries wontons are fantastic; definitely try the chicken ones. They have simple flavors and are quite large for wontons, but absolutely delicious. The green curry is perfect—balanced coconut, just the right level of heat, and beautifully presented. The fried rice with calamari is a winner, packed with fresh vegetables. I'm very particular about Thai food, and this place nailed it. Authentic flavors with high-quality ingredients. We will definitely be returning, and I believe this has become our new favorite Thai spot in LA. The restaurant itself isn’t the most stylish, but the exceptional food and service more than make up for it!"

Some dishes are exceptional, while others can be inconsistent. The Tom Kha is delightful, and the service is quite attentive.

The food was absolutely delicious! I particularly loved the papaya salad. The parking can be a bit challenging at times, but I'm thankful to live close by. View menu

I'm thrilled to have Joom Bangkok Cafe in the neighborhood. As a nearby hair salon owner, I absolutely love their food—it's exceptionally tasty! I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and clients!

I ordered takeout from Joom Bangkok Cafe. The beef pad Thai came in a large portion but lacked flavor and was quite dry. The papaya salad was flavorful, though the serving was very small. The coconut soup was decent but nothing special.

The curry tasted overly sweet, resembling sugary coconut milk with just a hint of spice, making it nearly inedible. The spring rolls were not enjoyable at all, and the tofu fried rice lacked any flavor. This is probably the worst Thai food I’ve ever experienced; even a frozen curry from Trader Joe's is far better. The interior of the restaurant was stylish and modern, but I was surprised to find it tucked away in a small shopping area. The service was somewhat slow, as the staff seemed to prioritize takeout orders. On the plus side, the food was quite good. If you live nearby and are craving Thai food, it’s a solid option. Just don’t go in expecting a beautiful ambiance or top-notch service.

I've driven past this Thai restaurant for years, and finally, we decided to stop in for dinner. I'm so glad we did! The interior was warm and cozy, which convinced us to dine in instead of getting takeout. The service was engaging and efficient, making our experience even better. The food was delicious—don’t miss out on the Garlic Rice; it pairs perfectly with any dish! All the flavors shone through without being overwhelming or overly salty. I can't wait to return and try the Panang dish. I think I've found my new favorite local Thai restaurant. Thank you!

"We visited the Los Alamitos location this trip for late lunch, early dinner. My husband got an All American Beach Melt. It was a full pound cheeseburger on grilled Parmesan Sour Dough. He was delightfully overwhelmed! I decided to try the prime rib dinner because the prime rib dip is out of this world! I was extremely disappointed! The meat was cold and flavorless. The aujus again had no flavor. The creamy horseradish could have been sour cream, and it has absolutely no flavor at all, no zing. Our waitress was sweet but disappointing. All of our food came to the table at the same time. Our appetizer actually arrived after our entree plates. Our waitress did a vanishing act. She did not once return to the table. Our water and tea cups sat empty throughout our meal. Other servers took care of the tables to our right, and to our left, we remained completely ignored. After finishing our meals, we sat for about 15 20 minutes with my husband, trying to get anyone to pay attention to even our empty glasses. Finally, it appeared to be someone in management who asked if we were waiting for boxes. My husband told her we 'd like a check AND boxes so we can leave. She brought our check and 3 boxes, no questions or comments. My husband paid in cash, and she said, I 'll see you next time. He commented. There won 't be a next time. We enjoy the Foothill Ranch location, a much friendlier environment. Today 's lesson learned is that it was not a good idea to order steak at a sandwich shop."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
