The pastries, tea, and avocado toast were absolutely delicious. It's great value for the quality you receive, all set in a lovely atmosphere. A true hidden gem!

I tried the falafel burger, mushroom fries, strawberry cake, and thumbprint cookie. Everything was great except for the cake, which was really dry. Updated from my previous review on 2022-02-11.

Get there early before the croissants sell out! Carrot lox bagel is fab. A favorite for vegan breakfast sandwiches when visiting family, near the North end of Central Park. Plant-based YUM! Tried the bagel lox and falafel sandwich. Great bagel but wish there was more lox for $9. Falafel wasn’t so generously sized but it was not surprisingly very well done and fresh. I ate both and was satisfied but not extremely full. Therefore it’s a bit expensive and probably not where I’d go if very hungry. The many pastry options looked delicious and start about $5 . Coffee is probably “normal” price for nyc but appeared much higher quality.

I came here with my non vegan partner for breakfast and both had a just egg bagel with soy bacon. So delicious! So was the Jordanian spiced coffee we had that was heated slowly over a sand covered brazier. The atmosphere was so pleasant, with middle eastern decor and music, that we decided to stay for an extra coffee. Please support this family owned vegan Cafe! I enjoyed the Beyond Burger and sweet potato fries at Jordan Pie Cafe. The new part owner, who seems to be the main staff member for now, is friendly but still learning about vegan food and appears hesitant to believe that vegan dishes can be truly delicious. He plans to update the menu by the end of the month, including adding non-vegan options. If you get the chance, stop by, try some food, and share your feedback and suggestions with him. I am always excited when a new vegan site opens, especially uptown, as we have very few compared to the city. I'm with a friend on a weekday morning at 10 o'clock. I wanted tee, black or green, they had nothing. the poor girl at the theke did the best she could, but obviously had no service experience, hardly spoke English and was very badly treated by the owner. the energy was definitiw and unpleasant. the coffee was poured over the saum and spilled over the wobble table. the remaining room was not available.
