"We have been meaning to try Kai for a while as it is close to our home. We were not disappointed. Kai is not Uchi or Soto but it is a solid sushi restaurant. There are cooked options for you non-sushi lovers. Be aware that Kai is small with limited seating and parking. There is also a patio but it is too hot to dine outside. Reservations are recommended. Also, they are BYOB. We ordered edamame as a starter. They offer the standard salted and a very spicy version. We opted for the standard. Our sushi was fresh and they had Uni tonight which is one of my favorites. We did order a roll which was AOK. This was an excellent experience and we will return."

Delicious sushi and friendly staff. They have a great kids menu that our 9-year-old loves. It's BYOB, so bring a bottle of wine if that's your thing. Love this place. Been visiting this for over a year and we are regular. One of our favorite Japanese sushi restaurant in North Austin. Great food, fantastic service and consistent. We like their spicy edamame, Dons (rice dishes) , udon as well as their sushi/sashimi dishes. Weekdays has a separate lunch menu. There's outdoor seating as well and it's pack during peak hours.

Wow! My wife and I were really impressed with Kai Sushi. The Avocado Bomb appetizer was incredibly tasty. The service was prompt, and the staff was friendly, welcoming everyone who came in. Our waitress was exceptionally kind and made sure our water glasses were always full. This restaurant is BYOB, and they have an outdoor seating area that includes a small play area for kids with a slide. We dined in and enjoyed a lovely dinner.
