"Stopover for San Diego! We try to stop in this restaurant and unfortunately the choice is terrible! My daughter orders pizza and it's the worst I've eaten in the US, I get a grilled chicken and it came with the seasoning that usually goes on fish... in fact I felt like I was eating fish! My son's mozzarella in carrozza... terrible, perhaps the only thing that survived was my wife's bruschetta! To conclude they bring me the bill and... 83$ but having given much more money I was waiting for the rest and when I asked they told me that they had made a mistake and I had to add 40$. Delicious food. Excellent service. We had dinner on street fair night. We have been here before and were anticipating the great food. Our server recommended a delicious Sauvignon blanc. We shared the caprese, then shared carbonara and a pizza. They did not disappoint!! Our table was outside so we could watch the world walk by. Thanks!!

This is my first review ever. This place was so horrible I had to warn others. I went there for dinner with my family. Immediately the hostess gave us attitude when we asked about seating arrangement and told us that if we didn't like the setup to leave. Bussers were not friendly. Waited for nearly 20 minutes for our bread, Once We complained about it three times then we got some attitude. The spaghetti bolognese was excellent, however the fettuccine alfredo with chicken was not good. When we told them about it, they said we never hear that. We 've been here six times, (we come from out of state) in the last 3 years, we 're not coming back.

My wife and I have really enjoyed our experience, the staff was friendly, service was fast, dishes and drinks were tasty. Unlike another Italian restaurant further north where the hostess has barely acknowledged us despite that they weren't busy at all and couldn't seat us for ten minutes. Luckily, we were able to find this restaurant while we were waiting there. I highly recommend Kalura Trattoria!
