"amazing food, amazing service. party of three , we brought two spectacular bottles of wine and ordered 6 glasses of wine off their menu. also two courses to go. so we ate for five. but the manager refused to comp us the corkage fees for our two bottles , and lied about another table with ten bottles of wines paying corkage. we asked them and they were comped. insult on top of injury. we would have brought large parties back to Portofino, but they were penny wise and pound foolish. We are comped at the best restaurants in Atlanta, Portofino needs to use judgement and do the right thing. Great restaurant poor management. she has a tough job and $20.00 is not a bad corkage fee, it's only a symbolic show of appreciation to comp us for that when we a) bought so much wine off their list and b) brought some spectacular bottles rather than common wines with us. Still, Portofino is an OUTSTANDING restaurant and highly recommend it."

"The watermelon salad was uniquely delightful, unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The sea scallop dish quickly became one of my favorites, which is impressive since I'm generally not fond of scallops. The carbonara was enjoyable but could easily be swapped for another option. The red snapper was delicious and had a good portion size. However, I was quite disappointed with the rack of lamb; it appeared to need more cooking and was a bit too rare, which unfortunately made me feel unwell afterward. This affected my enjoyment of the last two desserts—the lemon olive cake and the lunar chocolate. Overall, I believe the menu could benefit from better curation. My main concerns were the undercooked lamb and the generous portion sizes that made it challenging to fully appreciate the experience. I enjoyed my time at the Alden, but I think the waitstaff could use additional training regarding the dishes. If I return, I’ll likely opt for the à la carte menu instead."

"I debated on this review, but decided I could not give an outstanding rating. My wife and I come here frequently and this is the first time I have had a less than perfect experience here. I took my wife here for a Valentine’s lunch on Ash Wednesday and had a later reservation as we were attending church service first. The food was outstanding and the service was outstanding until I inquired about having some tea for myself and wife and possibly dessert but was told the kitchen was now closed. I was so taken back as we were not told before hand and asked if we would like anything else. This was not the response I would have expected at a 5 star hotel. I didn’t want to be nit-picky but this was not an inexpensive lunch, I ordered a bottle of sparkling rose and it was a special occasion. However , shortly after another server came by and inquired if we needed anything else and I told her I wanted some tea for my wife and myself but was told you were no longer serving. She immediately responded we absolutely could have tea. So she saved the day! If you have a later reservation you will need to inquire if this will cause any problems with a leisurely lunch."

"When you want to have a good time with good people, immediately think of MCK. I had the most incredible birthday celebration thanks to Grace and Mitch (and our server whose name I can’t remember because she kept the shots coming lol I think Anna? . From booking/reserving my table and planning for the rest of the night, I didn’t have to lift a finger. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating— this is southern hospitality at its finest. Now, the ambiance in MCK is so grown and sophisticated which I love. But that’s truly just the cherry on top because unlike everything else in our social media-driven world, the food absolutely matches the vibes. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the mussels. The drinks are SO GOOD!! I’ll never be back in Atlanta and NOT stop here. After dinner we headed to the lounge and I don’t remember much of that, but all the video footage I was sent shows it was also a good time. Thank you Grace and Mitch so so so much for the most unforgettable birthday ever!!!"

"NYP is absolutely the best value, food and service I’ve experienced in this city in years! I don’t normally get blown away by restaurants in Atlanta but I have to say that this place completely blew every other steakhouse I’ve been to here out of the water. The food was just delicious, service was excellent and the ambience was top tier. This is our new favorite restaurant!"
