"In this episode of Rate your experience, we dive into the ever popular Kilpatrick 's Publick House. Let us begin. This particular dining experience went solo. It was a dismal Friday evening. The weather was challenging for those looking to walk The Commons for a nice stroll as the sunset. Rain, miserable rain forced one to find cover. I quickly stepped off the TCAT bus and with alacritous steps, beelined to my destination. The restaurant was less than expected regarding the volume of patrons. Staff was moving about, working frantically for what one would assume a busy night. The floor manager was directing staff, the barkeeps were cleaning glassware and everyone was jovial in their day to day activities. I decided to pull up a stool at the warm/inviting patina copper bar. A few patrons were enjoying an after work beverage. The barkeep was either 'that friendly ' or the patrons were 'regulars '. Nonetheless, a great atmosphere from the start. Today 's meal consisted of my GO TO; Black Blue Salad and a new menu option the Inferno Wings . We 'll talk about those in a moment. If you want a steak but not all the sides that go with it, this is your best bet. The salad is an amazing pile of mixed greens (and I mean GREEN) with the yummiest of blue cheese and bacon. The star of the show and most certainly not outshined is the steak. I 've NEVER gotten a bad steak from Kilpatrick 's in the double hand times I 've dined at this location. Who says the Irish can 't cook a damn good steak?! This salad is a meal in and of itself! Plenty for one person and sharable without a doubt. Now let 's finally get to why a star is missing from this, what seems to be an epic night of wonderful dining, an excellent venue, and undoubtedly top notch staff on hand. When I think of the term, Inferno Wings I 'm excited. Others will be put off due to the presumable heat one associates with the word. The wonderful barkeep brought my salad and my wings and I was so excited to give the wings a shot. I let them sit for a bit, to cool the oven heat, so I could focus on the spicy heat, enjoying a few bites of my wonderful salad. My first bite into them little chicken wings was a quick and instantaneous, shucks! I liken it to the sound of losing on the Price is Right. These wings were wrong. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! The term inferno as a quick Google search is a large fire dangerously out of control . Sure, the term heightens my desire to delve into ONE. SPICY. WING. Nope, not a chance. Unfortunately, these were worse than Tom Hanks acting in the movie with the same name. I 've had Totino 's on a 3 am Sunday morning burn my mouth more than these wings. The barkeep was kind and the mentioning of chef 's challenge will certainly be had in due time. I will give these amazingly talented chefs the chance to prepare the aforementioned in all its glory of being the INFERNO WINGS one expects. Until then, the search for a hot wing continues."

We were late for our reservations and the staff was still pleasant and understanding. They had even tried to call but I didn't know. The food was delicious. Thank you!!

I attempted to eat here around 5 PM on April 3rd. It was starting to get busy, so I didn't sit down for about 20 minutes due to the lack of menus. There was a large family present as well.

best burger in the city at a fair price. the toppings are good and the meat is well rested. they have a changing selection, but if they like halal cart style lamb, I really recommend the lammburger when it is available. View menu

terrible service, and eating was not worth waiting for it. it took 2 hours to order, receive and eat our dinner. the place had many empty seats (now we know why,) but even so eat forever to reach us. drinking were also slow. the hamburger had a strange taste as if there was something next to bark in it. the fries were dry and chewing. the woofer rings had a strange taste that we couldn't identify, but they had clearly a history in a frying cabinet like the pommes. the squid was quite good, but since only one person ordered it, the meal was a failure for our small group and then we went to the short stop for taking sandwiches.

Terrible service, and the food wasn't worth the wait. It took us two hours to order, receive, and eat our dinner. The restaurant had plenty of empty tables (now we understand why), yet the food took forever to arrive. The drinks were also served slowly. The hamburger had an odd taste, almost like there was something unusual mixed in with the beef. The fries were dry and chewy, while the onion rings had a strange flavor we couldn't quite pinpoint, as if they had been sitting in the freezer for too long, much like the fries. The sole was quite good, but since only one person ordered it, the meal was a letdown for our small group, and we ended up going to a nearby place to grab sandwiches inste...

"My girlfriend and I decided to take a romantic getaway on the finger lakes and our drive had us passing through Ithaca, so we decided to stop for dinner. A good friend recommended this place, and admittedly I was skeptical of Italian food this far from New York City, but I trust their recommendations and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. For our wine selection, our server allowed us to sample one of the wines by the glass, which tasted thin. When we described what we wanted, she came back with a reasonably priced bottle that exactly hit the deep red notes that we were looking for (see the picture for the winery vintage if interested . We started with the crostini sampler. In my opinion, the Caponata was the best, but they were all interesting to try and I was glad we got all three. As a nice touch, they cut each crostini in half so my girlfriend and I could both easily sample each one. For dinner, I had the grilled hanger steak, which came with rapini and shoestring fries. I admittedly gave an annoyingly long description of how I wanted it cooked (essentially rare+ and they nailed it. The steak was fantastic, but the accompaniments were so good that they almost stole the show. The shoestring fries’ rosemary seasoning was a fun twist and the rapini was both familiar (garlic and olive oil and excitingly different. For dessert, I had what was essentially espresso mousse with graham crackers and a glass of dessert wine. While probably the weakest course, it was still a delicious way to cap an amazing meal. The mousse required a bit more texture, but fortunately they provided graham crackers on the side (which I suggest crumbling into the mousse . I’d highly recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area."

"Been here three times all my life in Ithaca. The first one was with my department bestie as it was our first time hanging out together and I taught her how to use chopsticks, how cute is that? And the second time was with my bf and the third time was with an old friend with her friend who were both new students this fall. The place was super strategic as you could see it from across the Seneca street bus stop because it was located hooked and the signage was kinda readable from far away. Also, they placed a printed menu on the window so that people could easily see both menu and the ambiance of the place directly although I could hold my waves of laughter a lot as I sat twice at the table near the menu because people could be very intense when seeing the menu and they might also watch us eating a bit. The staffs were attentive and friendly but their opening hours might be the quickest place to close as they close around 8pm. Food-wise, they have a wide variety of Korean and Japanese food and some kind of fusion Asian cuisine like the name of the restaurant!! I once went with fusion raw, cooked, and deep-fried sushi rolls which were so good, and some were categorized as spicy but not that spicy for my appetite. And then I tried the Vegetable Pajun or pancake served with a sour sauce which had not much flavor but the crispiness saved the game. To be honest, not really a fan of Korean food but I did try the Jjam Bong with chicken and it turned out so flavorful and the soup was spicy which I loved. The shredded chicken was tender and scrumptious also the noodle was cooked perfectly for me. Recommended to those who want to try comfort and tasty Asian cuisine around Downtown but make sure to seal the deal before 8pm so you will still be seated !!"
