"we enjoyed our late dinner at Kitty’s. in my drinking days, this is exactly the place where I would like to hang around – and I mean that in the best way. it certainly had the feeling of a local place. it is warm and cozy and friendly and I could see sitting in the bar for a few hours watching the game and chatting with the regular. for the food we started with the big brezel with cheese and when they say big they mean big. the bretzel was warm and salty and tasty and the smoked jalapeño cheese sauce was on site. I wish there were more of it. for dinner we had the porterhouse burger, the chickenerquesadilla and a beside salad. everything we ordered was quite simple, but it was really good. we didn't find anything funny – just eating some well cooked – and that's exactly what we did. the service was neighboring and our waiter gave us some great tips about the island. I will definitely return to Kitty’s. it is also important to mention that it is one of the few places on the island that they do not let gasse when looking at the prices on the menu. they are reasonable and they get a great meal!"

crosswinds is always a great place for an affordable meal. the ambiente is warm and aerial and the staff is friendly. a facility full of local, annual community. woops! I thought I'd write a review for crosswinds! but apart from the aviation diemed, the check is the same. another big, local location.

(Post-rest-of-the-meal review) My wife had the short rib stroganoff, and I had the fish and chips, and both dishes were absolutely perfect. When I imagine how fish and chips should taste, this is exactly it. The batter was amazing - crispy, light, and flakey. The short ribs were tender and delicious. The service was very nice, despite the fact that they have been understaffed lately. We didn't have to wait for a table, but there was a bit of a wait for our food. However, it was definitely worth it. We will definitely be returning when we come back to Nantucket!
