"My wife and I read many positive reviews of La Bodega Gourmet on Yelp and Open Table, so we were looking forward to our Valentine's Day dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't positive. Service was slow and disorganized. The waitress who served us forgot to bring pen and paper to write down our order. She left to get them and didn't make it back to our table until almost 10 minutes later. Food was even worse I ordered the chicken with butter sauce, and the chicken was tough, dry, and flavorless. My wife ordered the seafood paella, and it was equally bland. I told the waitress that my food was overcooked and asked if they could bring me the dish again. The second time that it came out, the chicken had all of the same problems. It was so bad that I ended up not eating any of it. The wait staff never apologized for the quality of the food and didn't comp any of our meal. Given the high prices that we paid for the food, that was a bad way to cap off a disappointing evening. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this place, but I can't recommend it based on my bad experience."

I absolutely loved the seafood paella! The tortilla appetizer was fantastic as well. I can't wait to come back soon.

I would really like to dine here, but it's consistently closed during the hours listed. Please do us a favor and update the hours online to reflect the actual times. View menu

Fantastic food and wonderful staff, though the location is a bit unusual. However, it's definitely worth the trip! The dishes aren't too heavy, and they offer an excellent variety.

Friendly service, you practically are friends with the owner by the end of the visit! The food is simple by American standards but it is SO FRESH and high-quality that it is amazing. Definitely wish more people knew about this place!

Love this place! It's been on my list to try in the Bee cave/Lakeway area and I'm glad we did. Super quaint and family owned which I love! The atmosphere was super cute and the food was delicious! So happy to have an authentic tapas place nearby. The paella was amazing and the shrimp and empanadas tapas were my fav. A must try! View menu

I visited this charming little restaurant close to my neighborhood for dinner tonight and was reminded of how delightful it is to dine at a small establishment with a personable owner who is actively involved and passionate about his delicious food. He mentioned that on Wednesdays and Thursdays, they offer a seafood paella special that comes with a glass of wine for just $15.95, which I think is an excellent deal. I wanted to share this great find!

This review focuses exclusively on La Bodega canceling our reservation the day before Valentine's Day without any communication. We had made our booking through Open Table earlier that week and received an email notifying us that the restaurant had canceled our reservation. We attempted to call for clarification but only encountered a busy line. We also sent a message via Facebook, but did not receive any response. We are extremely disappointed with how this restaurant managed the situation.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
