"La Casita has a special place in my heart because I 've been going there since it first opened. Definitely sentimental and admit my bias from this fact. I know it 's far from great or very authentic Mexican food, but I still go at least once every time I come back home for the holidays. Love the hot salsa. Service is almost always great. It is quick (probably too quick . Ambience is fine, nothing special since it 's in a strip mall. Cost is pretty cheap. I think the special plate is a common favorite. The white queso smothered Sancho is a solid choice. All and all it 's average, at best, Mexican food. 1 star is too low unless you 're a big foodie and Mexican afficiando, and 5 stars is definitely too high so those are either really biased or just need to try more Mexican food in bigger cities. Having lived off SW Blvd in KC, I know good Mexican and La Casita is sadly subpar as much as it hurts to admit. It 's really 2 stars but gave it an additional star for good service and just for old times sake."

There is nothing better than the special plate. We live in Dallas, but crave La Casita and stop whenever we are close by.

I should have checked the reviews first. Way way over priced for barley what I would call Mexican food. Everything is bland and nowhere near authentic. I order beef fajitas and added shrimp. They took away steak for the shrimp I added and paid for. Smallest portion I've ever had in a Mexican joint. Plus the charged

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the service is friendly and exceptional! Many restaurants struggle to make a simple, small tostada, but this one does it very well! The chips are thin and crispy, and the salsa is delicious. I particularly enjoy their traditional ground beef tacos, while my husband always opts for the Tacosburger. The dishes are warm, delicious, and well presented.

Some locals took me here claiming the best Mexican food in town. Going in I had high hopes. I am sorry to say this place was not good. I ordered combo #2 (3 item combo). All the items were filled with the same ingredients just wrapped in a different tortilla. No originality with the items at all. To make it worse the ground beef they used was bland and not good. Consider with care if you do not mind simple bland food. View menu

Upon entering the restaurant, Kindler was greeted with nothing but smiling faces of friendly people. They had an excellent waitress named Camisha, who tirelessly served their party of 19. Kindler highly recommends her as a waitress to anyone who visits. The food was delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine, leaving them all with full and happy bellies. They rated the restaurant 10/10 and highly recommend it to families for a well-run dining experience.

First off all any review before mine that said this place is good or even great flat out lied. This is by far the worst wannabe Mexican food I have ever tasted. The food is straight out of the frozen section of Walmart with absolutely no flavor and very watery, my wife and I barely touched our food and left it in the table and the waitress had the nerve to ask how everything was when it was very obvious. We told her how the food tasted and she had the nerve to tell us everything is fresh and freshly made which was a bold face lie. Needless to say we would never go back to this place again

I have to say hands down this spot is a must visit again! The food is one thing but the service will set you right in an atmosphere,Me n My hubby were in town had the signature margaritas (Azul) my personal favorite. (must try) Our waiter was phenomenal very good people, took good care of us,and in return made sure he was taken care of I called to leave word with manager about how great her employee was because he was just that Good. I’m leaving this review because service was great and food was awesome!! As said before if I’m ever in town again I’ll be visiting this restaurant again. . Food was Delicious!!! Fajitas are my personal fav! View menu

Went here for dinner recently. Really gone down hill. Had the most akward waiter I have ever experienced....bet he said a total of 6 words to us. He came over to our table, and just stared at us with his notepad, never asked us if we were ready to order. Stale chips (probably the third time in a row for this), flavorless food. I got a refill on my ICED tea, and when the cop came back to me there was no ice. I didn't notice it for a few seconds, and the waiter never came back to our table from the time we got our food until we are ready to leave. I guess ICE comes at a premium. If you're in the mood for Mexican food, go to the other La Casita on Crawford. It's 10 times better.

WARNING dangerous food I 'm still regretting it 9 hours later You walk by the kitchen to get to men 's room. Form the corner of my eye, and all up inside my nose I should have known and left but I was tired from 10 hours of driving. Sat at bar to wait for takeout. If I dined in I would have not paid for anything. Waitstaff asked kitchen if they had chicken breast, yeah we got some in last week! The Absolute Worst authentic Mexican food I 've had. It does have some of the markers of authenticity, unfortunately they are of how poorly some people treat their stomachs. If the kitchen staff eats like this, ...... (something not good). a disaster of inedible ingredients. Chicken breast was possibl...
