"The food here has always been better than chains like KFC. Problem is, over the years just like everyone else the prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. The food is still good but it's just not the same quality it was in the 2000s. Chicken doesn't have as much flavor. And the sides such as mashed potatoes and gravy and macaroni and cheese have been cut in half. Meaning if you order their large family strip meal which is over $40 with tax you'll get tons of strips and six biscuits along with a decent sized box of potato wedges that is not as full as it used to be. But you'll also get two smaller containers of sides. Anything that comes in a Styrofoam cup is smaller than it used to be. It's about two helpings. It's just not worth the money paying all this extra to get these small sides when you have all this other food that outlasts the sides by a couple of days at least. Just getting the regular strip meal the size and smaller portions of the sides is very apparent compared to 10 or more years ago. It's maybe one small spoonful of macaroni and cheese and only a few wedges. Your hours are worse than they used to be also. You at least used to be open until 9:00 p.m. Now closing at 8:00 p.m. even on a weekend which is ridiculous in a city this size. Again, the food is good. But it's like everything else now and not worth the price for worse quality and smaller portions and the hours just don't work for people that don't operate during simple banking hours."

Smells amazing when you walk in and they have the most friendly staff you could imagine. It might be a quick in and out spot, but this place makes you want to stay and enjoy your food! Lee's on West State has become my new chicken stop for strips and my favorite potato wedges. I had stopped going there years ago (20yrs or so) bc it just wasn't that good imo. My daughter had talked me into giving them a try again due to the chicken strips. She wasn't wrong. It's always fresh, hot, and portions are good as well. I almost forgot about the apple turnovers, they are also very good, except I would consider them a pie and not a turnover. I also appreciate the customer service. I was so impressed with the polite, friendly, fast service that I had called them and gave a compliment to the employee that served me in the drive-thru.
