"Finger-licking food and friendly service, Great atmosphere to eat with friends, This above was my review six years ago of this place, now after several visits I have to retract my review, Quality of the food underwhelming with the toritos being the size of a single tater tot. As if they never questioned themselves if they should serve them as little as they are. Fish Ceviche having little to no fish in it, but plenty of cucumber though. The oyster shot is no longer a shot. And the tuna tostada comes with thinly see through sliced tuna. I have always tried to not bother the waiters as the service was never the best, but making you feel guilty for asking for another glass of water before they get a chance to refill it themselves is something I never expected from a restaurant. I will be trying the other locations as I am really fond of this local restaurant, but it will be impossible to not do it with a mild discomfort."

The Chicharrón de Pescado is a great appetizer. I recommend the adobada and fish tacos.

The food is always great here, and the service is always quick too. However, watch your bill. I've never had this problem before, but the bill we received and the bill we were given to sign were different totals.

Disappointing, just ate there two days ago and the oysters were bad. Been sick the past day and a half! I remember it being one of my favorite places…. But no more! Be careful! The staff didn’t even care, I saw some cooks laugh when questioned about this! Terrible service! View menu

I absolutely love little shack and is one of my go to places, but honestly the one by Georgie dieter is the only one that never disappoints. Not sure if it’s just when the days get crowded but the food was definitely not good on this one. The shrimp tasted like unfrozen shrimp on the aguachiles and even the caldo they’re in was super watery. The campechana cocktail, same experience, tasted super fishy and weird.

Very disappointed with the customer service I’m a recurring customer I have eaten and order out frequently from this location, but they have I guess a new hire or somebody that has no work ethic whatsoever taking phone orders and making it seem like it’s a hassle for them. By far here in the west side or West Central one of the best seafood places but this is unacceptable, particularly when it’s not the first time that he uses specially around this time I ordered at 8 PM he comes back around saying that they have run out of fish soup being that the restaurant is ran with the model of a free or complementary fish soup with the order of any entree, smh.. LAPA LAPA I guess here we come !!

"We began with Baked Escargot in Herbed Citrus Parmesan Butter—an exquisite dish in which the desire to savor every drop of the butter was undeniable. The Grilled Octopus with Cilantro Chimichurri was expertly spiced, leaving a lasting impression of refined flavors. The Central Caesar Salad, uniquely presented for communal sharing, was notable for its rich Anchovy Emulsion. The Cream of Green Chile Soup was a revelation; its creamy texture and depth of flavor were so captivating that they prompted a moment of culinary reflection. However, the Seared Diver Scallops, though well-executed, did not resonate as strongly with me; I had a less than favorable reception of the broccoli puree. In contrast, the Lobster Agnolotti was satisfactorily balanced and flavorful with its delicate pasta and butter-poached lobster claw submerged in a creamy lobster broth. The Honey Lavender Long Island Duck was another course that showcased the fusing of sweet and savory nuances. The undeniable highlight of the meal was the Ribeye Prime, a masterful display of flavor infusion, complemented by Chipotle Lime Butter and enhanced by the textural contrast of crispy onion strings. We concluded on a celebratory note with a Dessert Platter for my husband’s birthday. This thoughtful gesture included an array of desserts from Petite Crème Brulée to a Mexican Chocolate Tart, each a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to a memorable dining experience. However, it is imperative to note that the ambiance was somewhat marred by the overly loud piano and live singing. While the music itself was beautifully rendered, its volume was disproportionate to the dining setting, complicating conversational flow and detracting from the overall enjoyment."
