"Unfortunately, our negative experience didn’t stop there. We noticed that the cashier failed to wash her hands after handling cash and packing to-go orders with utensils and napkins. This behavior was concerning, as it can facilitate the spread of harmful bacteria and viruses. The cashier was an Asian female, and her lack of basic hygiene was disappointing. As we looked around the restaurant, we found even more alarming issues. The carbonated soda tanks were not secured properly on the floor, violating Health Department regulations. Furthermore, we saw cleaning chemicals stored near food utensils, napkins, and the water fountain, which poses serious health risks to both customers and staff. Another significant concern was the trash storage next to refrigerated beverages. Although there were stickers advising not to use those areas, cleaning tools were found wedged between the trash and the refrigerator. This blatant disregard for health regulations is quite serious. Taken together, all of these issues point to a troubling lack of attention to cleanliness and safety at this establishment. We strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant due to the potential health hazards and unsanitary conditions we witnessed."

The food is delicious and full of flavor. I wish some dishes came with larger portions. The hamburger and fries are surprisingly good. The service is also friendly. Food: 4/5 View menu

The food was excellent; the meat was tender and flavorful. It has the appearance of a typical Chinese takeout restaurant, but it serves Hawaiian cuisine. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

Rude cashier, no personality at all. Asked her a few questions she didn't seem to be interested about a certain menu we were asking for. Been going here for years and never been talked to like this in a condencending manner. Feb 9, 2023, 12:30pm PST. View menu

Leaving this review here because I couldn’t leave one on Grubhub for some reason. I’m giving 2 stars because the Kalua pork and cabbage meal was just okay. The chicken katsu was dry. The spam saimin came with just one slice of spam on top of the noodles, but it’s supposed to be cut into the saimin for more flavor. My healthy shrimp plate with tossed greens was awful. The shrimp still had the veins attached—completely uncleaned. The salad was barely a salad, just two slices of soggy tomato over some greens, with no dressing and no cucumbers. After seeing the shrimp, I couldn’t eat anything else. Very disappointing dinner overall. Won’t be coming back.

I stopped by for malasadas while running errands, but my experience was disappointing. As soon as I entered, the restaurant had an unpleasant smell, almost like something had spoiled. I considered leaving but decided to stay for the malasadas. Unfortunately, that choice didn’t turn out well either. They had a strong odor of old frying oil, and the flavor was off as if the same oil had been used for other foods throughout the day. I managed to eat one, but I couldn't bring myself to finish the rest and ended up throwing them away. They only sell them in sets, and I ended up with seven, which felt like a waste of money. This was my first visit, and I can’t say I’d come back again.

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
