"I took my mom to Luby’s for Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, most of the staff were quite rude, even rolling their eyes at us, which felt completely unwarranted. It’s not our fault they had to work on a holiday. The food didn’t live up to our memories either—my daughter's tenders were tough and rubbery, and my mom’s chicken fried steak was very chewy. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Having lost our immediate family and relying on each other, we had hoped for a special meal, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Considering the high prices, the quality should have been much better."

Luby's catered our office's Thanksgiving luncheon last week and Teresa went above and beyond to make sure everything worked out perfectly. We had the wrong kind of chafing trays and she offered to lend us some without any hesitation. Fantastic service!

I want to clarify that I am Hispanic, though not Mexican or Mexican American, and I have a darker complexion. When I placed my order, there were four or five Mexican or Mexican American individuals behind me in line. To my surprise, everyone behind me received their food before I did. I politely asked Teresa at the register why this was happening, and her answer was ridiculous. It’s clear this restaurant shows favoritism towards certain groups of people. If you don’t fit into that group, be prepared to be treated like a second-class citizen. It’s unfortunate, but that was my experience. View menu
