"Good ambience and vibes, customer service was amazing. The appetizers were excellent, salad was very fresh.. Wood fired Pizza could have been better, nice but a little under done. The only thing I was surprised with was the employee healthcare tax added to the receipt, I’m all about benefits but I would rather see the cost reflected upfront in the price of food items than the surprise at the end. Overall a lovely experience, the exceptional customer service was definitely the biggest plus."

The service was excellent. The food was even better, they have been around for awhile and the reason is consistency. Also love that the menu is perfect sized just enough options to please everyone.

Lucca has a great atmosphere. Our waiter gave us incredible service and the staff was very friendly. I had a pizza that was pretty good, the crust was average. My wife had a Bolognese that she really enjoyed. The wood fired bread was very very good.

Surprised how busy this place was on Thursday night! Food was really good, especially the beets and mushroom pizza. We were satisfied with everything we ordered, but probably wouldn't order the butternut squash again, needs a little bit of sauce and cook the squash a little longer for my liking. Customer service was great, not overwhelming but waiter made sure our water was filled and checked in. View menu

Our family had a fantastic meal. The staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant, even though they were unexpectedly short-handed. If you love Italian food, this is your place; although expect your meal choices to be taken up a notch or two. Some really nice surprises on the menu mixed with more traditional expectations. Clearly, the chefs are having some creative fun, and the results are delicious! Reservations are highly recommended.

The food here was some of the very best Italian food I have ever eaten, and I've lived in Italy... It was tomato week, and we ordered the burrata salad, which came with heirloom tomatoes. Pistachios, shishito peppers, burrata, and the dressing- it was magical. We moved on to the caeser salad- the butter lettuce was soft and sweet, simply excellent. The bolognese was perfectly al dente, but the pizza- wow! Thinly rolled, puffy, crunchy, and delectable! I will be back here again!

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
