"Very courteous and friendly service from beginning to end. Food was outstanding! I had stuffed salmon served with mashed potatoes and a variety of mixed vegetables. My date had lamb with polenta and broccoli. We shared strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Presentation was nicely done. Everything was delicious. Servings were generous and prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was very nice and music played was contemporary smooth jazz which happens to be my favorite. Would definitely recommend and return to dine at Maize again."

Three course prix fixe menu prior to Speaker Series at PAC. Nice variety of items on the menu, all well prepared. However, considering the limited menu, the service is very slow.

Service was slow and somewhat inattentive. We have been there several times but this time the salmon was too salty and the swordfish was very fishy. Salad was boring and Chocolate cake was very dry View menu

A very nice stylish place with an excellent professional and friendly service, tasty food options, and nice wine selection. Not for the trendy crowds, this eatery delivers very well for those that want to eat and drink at a stylish, quiet place in a very nice area of Newark.

We made reservations at 6 ordered at 6:40 and didn’t get our entrees until 7:40. We had tickets for 8:00 and had to not fully finish our meals and miss desert and coffee. Manager said his staff was thrown off by so many people going to the theatre. Across the street from the PAC?

The service and food at this restaurant were excellent and deserving of the five star rating we awarded. Starting off with a delicious Sangria set the tone for a great meal. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area. The location is very convenient to NJPAC and Prudential Center. View menu

Attended a concert at NJCPA We were not informed the restaurant was inside a Hotel so it took some time to locate. This was further complicated by the fact that the people answering the phone did not speak English for directions. Once finally inside however, the service, food, and ambiance were excellent and I would highly recommend the restaurant if you are attending any performances at the Center.

I dined at Maize for the first time and was impressed by the delicious food with a Portuguese influence. The restaurant is conveniently located across from the Military Park garage and within walking distance of the NJ Performing Arts Center. The service was a bit inconsistent, possibly due to a large party of 50+ people being hosted at the same time. Despite this, the wait staff was friendly. I would definitely consider returning to dine at Maize again.

"On Wednesday 12/06 I went to Banzai Sushi, I have never received such bad service in my life… Every time I remember my experience, I get angry, the waitress is rude and has a horrible attitude! It's a shame because the food there is wonderful, but the service is so SO BAD that I lost my appetite. When I got there, there was some water spilled on the table, she took my stepfather's DIRTY NAPKIN to clean it and just left it there. When I asked for things she responded with an ignorant, rude tone. My partner doesn't eat any type of animal protein other than shrimp. So we asked if we could replace the salmon with shrimp in a poke, she checked in the kitchen and said everything was fine. When she came back, I placed my order and she was doing something at the other table, but said to continue because she was listening….my partner also talking about swapping salmon for shrimp at the end and the waitress replies “so it's not like that at all what you want, is something different” and simply left leaving us talking to the wall. When our order arrived, my order came out wrong. I called her and she simply replied “BUT ALSO, WITH HER MAKING ALL THIS MESS WITH SALMON AND SHRIMP…”, sorry, but for me that was the end of the bite. It's okay to get the order wrong, I know it happens, but blaming the customer? Every time she passed by our table I saw her making faces and looking at the kitchen. I thought it was a huge lack of respect, we are paying customers. On top of that, it also includes a 15% tip. Normally, if I receive good service, I will give 20%, after all, I work in customer service and value professionals in my field. And if the service was just bad, I wouldn't bother coming here to report it... But it was horrible"
