"This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the world. Don't believe me? Just try Maurizio's Involtini di Melanzane (rolled slices of eggplant stuffed with ricotta cheese, basil, sun dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese, topped with tomato sauce) as an appetizer, and then the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare (shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and calamari served in a spicy lobster based tomato sauce and tossed with linguine) as a main course. Ask Linda to choose a bottle of wine for you. Maurizio's food is divine. Period."

The bread and oil were amazing. The house white wine was delicious and reasonably priced. My fettuccine carbonara was fantastic. The service was not bad either.

The food was delicious and our waiter was excellent. However, other customers were excessively loud, as the restaurant is small and it became difficult to hold a conversation.

Second time we've been here. Intimate, cozy space, with attentive, friendly wait staff. Food is wonderful with huge portions. The fried calamari was to die for: my innovative riff on sardinian pasta with ricotta sauce was out of this world. Steve's Linguine with salmon was great. We'll be back!

There really is only one Italian restaurant in Boston's North End. Great food, delicious wine and wonderful people. I guess that is why they have been there over 20 years! Do you know any other restaurant that has accomplished that? It's fun place too. We always have our Christmas party there and if I'm in town I make certain to stop in for a bite. Enjoy. View menu

Great food and friendly service. This restaurant focuses on Sardinian cuisine, so it's not your typical red-sauce Italian restaurant, and is a nice change of pace for the North End. The salmon pasta with black fettuccine was very good with an abundant amount of fresh and smoked salmon, the saffron gnocchi were unique in a good way(if a bit heavy), the malloreddus alla campidanese was very hearty and satisfying. The Ossobuco, while not particularly Sardinian, was very flavorful and fork tender.

Took family of 4 down on Saturday in the summer. What a find! No line, great service, great suggestions but the food was fabulous. And the price was reasonable. Everything was perfect. Salad, lunch portions, sangria, everything. Sat in the cool quite for an hour just enjoying and resting. Walked out and wondered if I should tell anyone waiting on the street still trying to get into the tourists restaurants. My 17-year old said no, this was our find. Stay off the beaten paths my friends. Discover your own gems.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
