"Fabulous food and excellent service so lovely to spend the day! I will come back soon for sure. The pea soup was out of this world, my friend’s mushroom barley soup was equally scrumptious and the falafel and pita sandwiches were extraordinary. Mine was extra spicy, my friend’s regular. Both were amazing especially when combined with coleslaw and pickle and dressings on the side. This was the most superb vegetarian luncheon for the two of us. You’ve got to go to Mendy’s 2.0 in person or online or on Goldbelly as soon as you read this review."

Overpriced for what you get in comparison to other traditional NYC Jewish deli's

After the closing of Mendy's at Grand Central Terminal, this is the last Mendy's standing in Manhattan. Needing a quick lunch to go, this fit the bill with both the chicken noodle soup and chopped liver sandwich being good but not five star. Will try it again when in the neighborhood and in a hurry

This is the last remaining outlet of this kosher (UO) deli. It's most well known for its pastrami, corn beef, hotdogs and a soup and sandwich option that was once referenced on Seinfeld. The restaurant seems mostly for delivery and pick up. The food is still pretty good. It's on the expensive side even by the standards of a Manhattan kosher restaurant.

Their chicken rice soup has no actual chicken in it, it’s just rice in chicken broth with the only flavor being extreme amounts of sodium. When I called to complain, they decided to send someone to pick the soup rather than actually rectify anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to resell the soup afterwards. $9.00 is more than twice the bag of rice the ingredients came in. This place is not worth it. View menu

Came on a busy lunch time rush- while it was packed with pick up orders the register employee was prompt to take my order. She was honest about wait times, but since I work right near by it was fine. I had the chicken and rice soup and it wassome of the best soup I have ever had. I have been battling a stomach virus and if I wasn't still sick I'd have chugged theentire container. I cant wait to try their other items!

Stopped here to pick up dinner on my way out of the city. The physical location is somewhat grimy and not eat in friendly.I ordered for takeout so that was not an issue.Burger was large, tasty, and packed very well for take out.Split pea soup was delicious.Pastrami Knish was not what I was expecting but nevertheless very delicious. The chicken fingers were the only thing I did not like but being that my wife enjoyed them very much I assume it was just a matter of taste.Certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union.
