"At first, everything with our visit seemed to be going well. Ms. Teapot was adorable. The decoration was adorable, and it was about what I was expecting, with cute china and old fashion teapots. The selections of teas were also quite extensive. The waitress was extremely polite and got our tea out quickly. With the first cup, we started having problems. Tea was mediocre and very much on the weak side. We then asked for cream with our tea – and were given a bowl of coffee mate creamer cups like you would expect from fast food). When we asked for cream or half and half, we were told they didn’t have either. Wait…what? This caused mass distress with my little sister – who doesn’t drink tea without dairy. When we asked for milk, we were told the owner was out sick and no one did the daily shopping. They said they would try to find some milk but no promises there. At this point, my little sister was worried she would be drinking water at a teahouse. She tried drinking the tea straight but couldn’t do it. Thankfully, she stopped in the most amazing pretzel shop a few stored down and they saved the day with half and half check out The Pretzel Place – amazing). Now we had a little dish of half and half from another restaurant and were good to go. First course was one scone, a small piece of cinnamon bread, and a tiny dish of fruit all fitting on a tea saucer). Mediocre but about as I was expecting. After that was a salad course – credit where it is due, the salad was great and came with a delicious quiche. Servings were a bit on the small size compared to what I was reading on reviews but we just all assumed they were covid sized. Things were then concerning when the main sandwiches came out. For three non vegetarians I am going to get to our vegetarian in a moment), we had three quarters of a ham and cheese sandwich on a plate, cut into quarters and one and a half croissant chicken sandwiches. Considering the other courses, would have been more appropriate food for one or two people, maybe? We thought most of the meal would be this course. Nope. The normal sandwich was just a cheap cheese and ham sandwich but it was okay. Though again, credit where it is due the chicken salad was very good! But…then there was our vegetarian’s experience. Before I go further – let me make clear. Reservations were made over a week in advance and they were told we had a vegetarian with us. We wanted to make sure there wouldn’t be a problem. My sister was very excited – curious to see how their cucumber sandwich would be or whatever cute vegetarian sandwich they made for her. Instead…she got a grilled cheese sandwich. A simple grilled cheese sandwich you would expect in a kid’s meal at a quick restaurant. At this point, we were mostly done but trying to be polite. There was no way the experience would be recovered. Dessert was a cheap small piece of cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie that they weren’t for sure if it had peanuts or not). I half expected with a peanut allergy to not be able to eat the cookie but we weren’t expecting them to tell us they weren’t sure what was in the box of cookies. Box? You mean to tell me the desserts weren’t made there? Nothing shocked me at this point and the experience was just becoming laughable. It was not a $30 a person experience $40 per adult with tax and tip). My sister left defeated at the experience, Maybe things are better when the owner is not sick but this was our experience. Mediocre tea, no dairy based cream, mediocre food, and treatment just made this a very sad experience. If you want a high tea experience in the Cincinnati area – I recommend you skip Ms Teapot."

Very cute place! I came with some friends and we had tea and lunch. Some of the menu items were a little overpriced and service was a bit slow, but that was to be expected because we didn't have a reservation. The server was very friendly. We will come back! View menu

I discovered today that this charming Tea Shop has been in business for over a decade! I adore everything about this restaurant: the ambiance, the decor, and the friendly Tea Team (staff). All of it is fantastic. Make sure to make a reservation in advance as this place is a popular destination!

My daughter and I recently moved to the area and saw Mrs.Teapots one day as we were driving down the street. We were excited to try it. Let me tell you…they did NOT disappoint! The food was amazing, the service was awesome and the decor was super cute. We will definitely frequent this adorable find on a regular basis. Highly recommend!

Very cute atmosphere, attentive waitress. Disappointing in that cream for tea wasn’t available; and when cream was requested Coffee-mate was provided. Waitress did find milk when pressed. Only music was radio (80’s-early 2000’s music was somewhat unexpected). Vegetarian fare was a grilled cheese sandwich with intact crusts and not cut into dainty quarters like the rest of the sandwiches. Dessert cookie from box, not homemade. Salad and quiche absolutely delicious, Numerous teas available to choose from rounded out a mostly enjoyable experience. Owner was ill and not able to be there today. View menu

I was searching for a special way to celebrate my adult daughter's birthday and was thrilled to discover a tea house nearby. We made a reservation for three and enjoyed a delightful high tea experience. My daughter was ecstatic, as she had always dreamed of having a tea party. It exceeded all of my expectations - each course featured perfectly sized and delicious food. The service made us feel like royalty, and every detail, from the table settings to the music, was impeccable. We even wore fancy hats, but the tea house had plenty available for those who didn't bring their own, perfect for some great photo opportunities. The owner took the time to personally greet us, and we were able to pur...

After hearing good things we had my birthday high tea at Mrs Teapots. We will never go back. It took forever... only two others were in the restaurant. The price was $40 each. Our tiny piece of crustless quiche was like unseasoned scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese on top that had dried out. The scone was good but floury... the clotted cream was in a wine cup (for 6 of us no jam provided. (Jelly?? The sandwich course was 1/2 of a croissant w sparingly applied chicken salad and a tiny salted pretzel bun with strawberry cream cheese and, yes, a cucumber on it. Strange combination. And dessert was a joke. The tiniest piece of chocolate cake and a boxed cookie. This took 2 hours... I'll never ge...

"Let me start by saying the food, presentation and wait service has been good to excellent on our 1st and 2nd visits over the last two weeks. But we definitely need to address a totally unacceptable response to an issue we ran into last night. Just after our 1st visit on 12/30/22 we called to inquire about their Corkage Fee which was stated as $35. We then booked another res for 1/7/23 for us and another couple and bringing a nice 08 Cab to share with our guests. So the bill arrives with the ridiculous Corkage of $45 shown. I nicely asked our waiter to reduce the charge to $35 and advised my wife had specifically called in to check it just 2 weeks before AND at $45 we would have not brought our own wine as $35 was bad enough. So here comes in tandem the Ops Director Ms. Martin and Chef/Owner Mr. Moore to say bluntly its $45 and that 's it. They couldn 't have cared less my wife had called in and Mr. Moore blurted out here 's the deal, we make no money on people bringing their own wine . They stood glaring at us in a demeaning way like how dare you to have questioned our policies? We paid our bill and left. So here are my closing comments on BIS On Main. We have spent over $640 on our two visits in recent weeks. You could have easily said okay, we will adjust this time but please be aware of the increase in the future and all would have been fine. Secondly, Mr. Moore should reconsider his very inappropriate comment about not making any money . Are you serious! So as they say, It will be a cold day in hell........"
