"I recently dined at this charming restaurant with two friends on a Friday evening around 6:30 PM, and we had a delightful experience. The restaurant features two areas connected by a narrow corridor. The front section has bar seating and a few tables, while the back area, where we were seated, has more comfortable table seating. It has an inviting and dimly lit atmosphere that sets a cozy vibe. Upon our arrival, we were promptly seated in the back, and since the restaurant was still fairly empty, we enjoyed a calm dining experience. As our meal progressed, more guests filtered in, and by the time we left around 7:15, the place was bustling. We ordered a variety of dishes: the Soup of the Day (Lobster Bisque), Linguine Seafood with White Wine Sauce, Lobster Ravioli, and Fra Diavolo Mussels with a side of linguine. Although we had the option of choosing French fries, we decided that more pasta would be a better choice! The soup was served promptly, and soon after, the rest of our meals arrived. The lobster bisque was hot, rich, and creamy, packed with generous chunks of lobster that made it feel like a cozy hug on a chilly autumn day. The seafood linguine was also rich and creamy, enhanced by a slight tanginess from the white wine, creating a wonderfully complex flavor. The dish was overflowing with fresh calamari, shrimp, and mussels. The lobster ravioli was impressive—large pieces drenched in a creamy tomato sauce. The filling was delicious, with gooey cheese and minced lobster, and it was topped with even more lobster chunks. As for the mussels, they came in a delectable light yet spicy tomato sauce (which was more like a soup than a sauce). The sauce had fantastic flavor and just the right amount of heat, with plenty of fresh mussels to savor. While the side of pasta was a bit plain on its own, it paired beautifully with the other dishes and could easily serve as a simple pasta dish for kids. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They kept an eye on our water glasses and refilled them without us having to ask—definitely a nice touch! They also promptly brought us hot water upon request, which can often be overlooked in other places. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a restaurant. I've visited a few times before, and each experience has been equally enjoyable. It's a true neighborhood classic, with fantastic food, top-notch service, and a cozy atmosphere, all at reasonable prices. I’d rate this a solid 10/10 and can't wait to return!"

One of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn! I absolutely love the Thai mussels and Great Neck clams. The owner is often there and is incredibly nice and friendly. The atmosphere feels like home.

Great food and we very much enjoyed the bands that performed outdoors last year! So far, I've had the Classic Mussels, the Mediterranean Mussels, the Calamari, Paella and the Great Neck Clams and they were all perfect!! Nice atmosphere, friendly professional staff, great music, clean tables, clean restrooms. My husband and I will be back with friends soon!!

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this restaurant truly deserves one. The food is incredibly delicious! Every fish dish was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I think more people need to discover this gem, and I’ll definitely be sharing my experience with family and friends. We tried a variety of appetizers, along with seafood salad (which was amazing), fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and a vodka pizza. Everything was fantastic! We sat outside, but when it got a little windy, they quickly moved us to an indoor table. The restaurant is larger than I expected! I highly recommend it. View menu

I had an unexpectedly fantastic meal at Mussels and More yesterday while celebrating a baptism. The food was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented—far beyond what I had anticipated. I can't help but wonder why more people aren’t posting about this place! The restaurant was buzzing with happy customers enjoying their food and cocktails in the lovely bar area. Our group had a private room in the back, and every detail was perfectly executed—the lighting, the outdoor space, the seating, the music, and the service were all impeccable. And the food was simply amazing! Have you been there? What's your favorite thing on the menu?

When you eat at Mussels More, you really do get mussels MORE. You get mussels AND Jim AND delicious food AND amazing hospitality. After reading so many great reviews about this place, we decided to check it out to see if the reviews were true. We originally ordered take-out because we had our baby with us so we thought about just bringing the food back home and eating it from there. By the time we got our food, the baby fell asleep in the stroller and we realized we should take advantage of the time and eat our food there instead. We asked Jim if it would be ok if we can sit down and eat our take out at the restaurant and he was so gracious to let us do that. And then he served us at the tab...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
