"After reading several reviews prior my visit, I decided to try Mythology with mixed feelings. It seemed reviews were about 50/50 for good experiences and bad experiences. So, here I go....I had 5:45 reservations and arrived around 5:30. I was promptly greeted by staff hanging Halloween decorations. The restaurant was empty, perhaps one person sitting at the bar. I thought lack of traffic might be because it was early on a Tuesday evening. My guest and I were offered a seat by the open windows. We were exposed to the street vibe of H Street. If you are attempting to have a conversation it can be both challenging while amusing when you hear road traffic, street cars, sirens and bits of people's conversation as they pass by. Almost all pedestrian (especially young people) passing commented about the decorations of lights in clouds which change colors, very cool and whimsical. Our server Rita showed explained the Frites and the vast toppings available. We ordered drinks, I had the Bourbon Mule and she had the Mojito. Both were good. Then we opted for the smothered Crab Frites. It seemed to take a while for the order to arrive. When the plate arrived, it was luke warm/cold definitely not hot. I thought since we were the only two dining, the food should been at least hot. As for our entrees, I had the Beef Ribs with Sticky Rice. I found the ribs very fatty and oily. I only ate one part of the two thin ribs and nibbled on the sticky rice. I was done. My guest ordered the Salmon. When it arrived, it looked worn, and had an odd smell. So rather than chance eating, she ordered the crayfish hush puppies as an alternate. Love the decorations but feel the kitchen needs help. Sorry to say, probably will not return except for possible drinks or lite appetizers."

Came for my birthday and the restaurant went above and beyond for our table. Really had great experience loved the burger and fries. Very pleased with the prompt service and polite staff.

Honestly a little disappointed. At 6pm and with an almost empty house, they were out of two of their types of loaded frites. What I did receive was generous in size, but not as crispy as frites usually are

Great food, really cool ambiance (clouds! funky mythological plates! and great service. Love the big windows in the front, which they open when the weather is nice. Get the chicken poppers and the steak frites! View menu

It's a fun spot with a lot of great visuals to enjoy while you eat. The mimosa concept was done in a unique manner and the menu offered something for everybody. I recommend it for a fun thing to do with friends for a brunch weekend get together.

Great restaurant just short staffed. Only had one bartender and took drinks forever to get to the table. Also food didn't all come out at once but other then that great food!! And the decor was fabulous! Friends loved it! But bartender upstarts was extremely rude won't go to him if he's there! Thanks will come back soon

I went to brunch with a group of 7 people. The ****** marys were fantastic! Everyone ordered something different like waffles, shrimp and grits, frittata, sandwich, and bibimbap. I'm a vegetarian so I tried the bibimbap. Everyone thought their meal was delicious, but the standout dishes were the chicken and the waffles. The staff was attentive and checked on us often. The decor may be a bit cheesy, but the food is definitely worth it. View menu

deleted opportunity. the food was good. the concept is great. the delivery was brutal. what about the lights and music? the white lights break out the clouds and darkness. the music was 90s hip hop? what does this have to do with mythology? very disappointed. I was very excited about the experience. it let me down. eating was very good. I had that steak. my wife, the cloaks. I should have ordered the frit for appetizer. maybe next time they forget the music, lighter and smell.

eating is presented in the menu for what it really is misleading. fried chicken poppers for example are actually exactly what tasted like frozen chicken finger in the half broken. the French onion pom frites were incredibly underwhelming as they were not fresh fries, but also seemed to be frozen with a cheese top. the tomato mozzarella salad was also not worth the money, as the tomato slices were incredibly thin and contain only four slices. the cocktails were good, but served in small glasses with heavy ice, not in the worth of the $10 price tag. for an over $130 bill ẃe was extremely disappointed. would not recommend anyone and will certainly not return.

"I typically always forget to write google reviews but this place deserves every word I have to say. I found this spot because the luggage storage app, bounce, sent me here to hold my bags while I toured apartments for the day. Before I left my bags, I decided to try a quiche which was so much better than expected. Growing up in my father's deli, I tend to have high standards for most food because I can usually recognize good ingredients so safe to say I was definitely pleasantly surprised with my quiche. Around mid-day I fell walking around in NoMa and severely hurt my knee. Rather than continuing my tours for the day I decided to come back to pick up my bags and potentially go to the airport to arrive early for my flight. When I got to Old City Market and Oven, they actually gave me ice for my knee and let me sit downstairs uninterrupted. While I was downstairs the cashier told me to call the number in case I needed anything so they can come down and help because they didn't want me walking up the stairs for anything stupid. To say they were sweet was understatement, the level of care I received felt like I was in one of my dad's restuarants growing up which in my opinion is not something you see these days. I decided to have a pizza while I waited because another customer said it was amazing. Even though I was skeptical due to the paper menu, they really did their big one with that pear pizza. This spot really made my day and it makes me happy establishments at this tier still exist."

"For a special occasion, make a reservation at Michelin star Reverie, a small restaurant inside a Georgetown alley. If you 're lucky, you 'll meet Poppy the Alley Cat that is taken care of by the community, including by the staff at Reverie. My wife dined at Reverie on a Thursday evening. Here 's our experience. 1) Experience: It 's a Michelin star restaurant so expect superb service. It 's clear that the chef is passionate about his craft and his passion is contagious. Every staff member from our server to the chefs who brought out our food, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Throughout the stay, we were given wet towels to wash our hands in between snacks. Our water glasses were kept full. If we really loved a dish, our server would point out elements or teach us tips on how to use similar flavors at home. The journey begins with savory snacks and ends with sweet ones. Since the menu changes often, a copy of your dinner 's meu is given to you to take home at the end. It 's a perfect memento, especially if you 're celebrating something special. 2) Food: Reverie 's menu changes, but whatever you 're served will be innovative, fresh, and full of flavor. It 's also a tasting menu. When we went in May 2025, the menu included 17 different bites/dishes. The meal starts and ends with three small bites. The next nine dishes mainly included seafood and one was elk. Every dish is presented on a design-forward plate and came in full color and plated perfectly. A sign of a good restaurant is perfection in every dish and there wasn 't a bad one. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one, but our favorites were the Scallop, which comes in a fun sunchoke cracker sandwich, Hiramasa with juniper and caviar, and the Carolina Gold Rice. 3) Drink: Reverie 's drink menu comes with cocktails named after neighborhoods from around the world, wine, and other options. The Golden Gai is now my wife 's favorite Old Fashioned. She ordered two. For a sweeter refreshing cocktail, get the Old San Juan. For a refreshing, but sherry-forward cocktail, I recommend the Roma Notre. The dinner begins with chilled tea for all and it is very tasty. Savor it. At the end, you 'll have an opportunity to order more tea. Each blend is unique. I recommend any of it. 4) Price: It 's $245 a person for the tasting menu and additional prices for drinks, but for a quality dinner experience, it could be more expensive. We found it to be a fair price, especially for a special occasion. 5) Space: It 's beautiful! The design is not ornate, but rather simple, making it classy. There are two unisex restrooms in the back. When you sit down, you 're offered small stools to place your phones, belongings, etc. 6) Neighborhood: Inside an alley, there 's much to explore nearby from other top restaurants, cafes, and historic homes. We usually find street parking nearby by the Georgetown Waterfront Park. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
