"Coffee is really good.. Definitely best coffee in the area without a doubt.. Service is almost always on point which is always nice to experience.. my husband and son are coffee snobs per say, and they both prefer Nicole's for coffee.. but depending on your preference, you may want to request a bit more flavoring.. Example: My husband Religiously orders the same thing.. (A White Chocolate, Razberry Macchiato with 2 shots of Espresso) And he prefers the flavor of the White Chocolate as well as the Razberry to be somewhat heavy.. therefore he requests heavy flavoring when ordering.. otherwise he says that they don't take the flavoring into consideration when adding the 2 shots of Espresso into the drink.. The only complaint he would have would be that other places they will give him the extra or overflow in a small cup on the side, due to the entire order not fitting into a single large cup.. When it comes to the food.... There is definitely space for improvement in our families opinion... The sandwiches are good... But the breakfast menu could definitely use some improvements along the lines of seasonings and/or possibly fresh ingredients or homemade items rather than whatever the current situation may be.. Breakfast is a bit overpriced.. but in reality, so is any restaurant food nowadays.. Atmosphere is what it is... Not horrible.. but not ideal either.. but she has a small building and Ultimately does well with the area she has to work with.. All in all.. Definitely worth stopping by and getting some great coffee and grabbing a sandwich for lunch later on.. Staff is pleasant.. and always greets you with a smile and generally good attitude.."

"Old school summer shake and burger shack. It wasn 't that fast, but I think we showed up in a big wave because the waitress moving pretty fast. Was huge burgers, crispy fries and mushrooms....was decent veggie Burger (vegan). My friends praised the burgers, they were enormous....could have sworn I took pictures... If you 're in the area hit this old local favorite, my friend drove out of the way to eat here. There are picnic tables both under shade in the front and under the trees around the parking. Vegetarian options: There is a veggie Burger, and French fries, as well as fried mushrooms...also I believe pickles, and zucchini sticks, something called a veggie combo So it 's not a vegetarian space, but you won 't be left out. I 'm a vegan and left stuffed. It 's definitely fast food style burger joint ."

"I went to Maria?s driving back from a wedding in Graeagle and after a long day they were the best stop I could have ad! Being greeting by the chef himself and served with some of the best molcajete I have ever had, this dining experience was one of thebest I could have had!! I recommend this restaurant to any and everyone in the Chilcoot, Portola, or Graeagle area and you willcertainly not be let down. Maria?s Mexican in Portola is the best in all the area for Mexican!!!"

"SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I'm currently remodeling my small living space and only have ready-to-eat food or PB&J on hand (I'm really tired of PB&J). So, I called to see if I could pick something up for dinner this evening. The phone call lasted a maximum of 30 seconds. I hung up at 8:39 PM; I understand that's cutting it close to closing time. Having worked in a kitchen before, I get that. However, with 22 minutes left until closing, perhaps you could ask the caller what they were considering ordering, then decide whether to accept or decline. Overall, I am very displeased and frankly disappointed with the service and attitude I’ve experienced from this restaurant lately. If you don’t want customers and don’t want to serve food to hungry people, maybe you should consider closing permanently. I was ready to spend my hard-earned money, but if you don’t want it, that’s fine; I won’t be coming back."

"The clubhouse also includes a bar, impeccably clean restrooms, and a gift shop. Outside, there are lovely terrace and gathering spaces accessible from every exit. We made a lunch reservation online and, using Waze, easily found our way from Truckee to Graeagle. Arriving early, we called to see if we could move our reservation up, and Kelly responded with a cheerful, "No problem!" When we arrived, Kelly welcomed us at the entrance. We took some time to explore the interior and, despite the tables near the large central fire pit, we chose a table by the window, ensuring we all had a lovely view of the mountains without any obstructions. We were the only diners at that time—was this a bad sign? Absolutely not! The service was attentive, and the food was exceptional, with generous portions. I ended up taking half of my turkey sandwich home, and we also enjoyed fantastic burgers, French onion soup, hearty game chili, and delicious fries. Kelly offered wonderful non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage options tailored to our preferences, and her co-host was equally friendly and attentive. This gem of a restaurant provided a fantastic start to our adventure, with a total of four adults dining well and enough food to take home for just $101—a real bargain. After lunch, we snapped some pictures outside, and Kelly kindly stepped out to offer her assistance in capturing the moment. We then headed to Quincy, where we discovered an incredible toy shop and enjoyed some of the best ice cream we'd had in years. Just a note: the gift shop at the clubhouse was closed for the season, which was a disappointment as we were eager to do some Christmas shopping. Overall, this experience is WELL WORTH 1-2 HOURS OF YOUR LEISURE TIME!"
