"Finally went after wanting to try them for so long( unfortunately closing July 1)... But anyhow I ordered a Plant based chicken, bacon avocado sandwich with seasoned fries!!! Deliciousness overload!!! Seasoned very well...Staff was sitting outside BUT became very attentive &courteous upon my arrival, her name was Shana, like me...she let me know what items were unavailable, I was slightly heartbroken because I really wanted to try the cauliflower wings lol.. But the sandwich made up for it! If they weren't closing permanently I would've definitely go again!!!"

Native Foods was one of the first vegan restaurants that convinced me you can have amazing, great tasting plant based foods. Huge rotating menu to choose from.

Incredible vegan cuisine! I've tried vegan food all across the Midwest and West Coast, and these are the best vegan burgers I've ever tasted. I'll be returning every time I'm in Chicago!

The food was great. I invited first time family members and they loved it. My cousin had the chicken bacon burger my sister had the ruben sandwich and my daughter had the buffalo bites. We plan on coming back . View menu

My favorite birthday spot is the Peir location, but this Hub block is fantastic too! The service was excellent, and the public and other customers were really friendly. The food was extremely delicious and fresh. My mom absolutely loved her first experience here today!

If you're in search of unique gluten-free options, this restaurant offers traditional Wicker Park cuisine alongside a classic menu. The chicken tacos and parmesan fries are both excellent. The portobello jibarito is made with fresh ingredients and is a must-try. The atmosphere is family-friendly and features a unique, colorful decor.

Oh my gosh! I discovered this place years ago before I became vegan, and it was absolutely delicious at that time. Now that I’m back, I remember exactly why I kept it saved in my mind! The food is fantastic, the service is outstanding, and I’m currently enjoying my meal but can’t wait to come back again and again. If you’re in Chicago or near Hyde Park—vegan or not—you simply have to try this amazing food! View menu

There's a sign that asks you to wait to be seated, but if you follow that instruction, you may never get to place your order. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken, but it wasn't spicy at all and tasted like a frozen patty you would find at a grocery store. The pickles were disappointing as well. The black tea I ordered had a strange flavor, almost like someone had added Vicks VapoRub to it. Overall, I would rate this place higher if it weren't so expensive.

I am giving this location 5 stars because of the service provided by the manager Marquette and He provided awesome service, was positive and said he was going to keep pushing through even though he was short staffed. I have seen this location go wayyyyyy downhill since it first came to Hyde Park both food and service wise, but Marquette was wonderful! The new menu item is only available thru May—I will return for it because of Marquette. Get him some staff support so that you retain good talent. Also keep new menu items ON the menu.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
