"Our day got away from us, and we ended up arriving past the usual lunch hours, making us the only customers there. A gentleman promptly emerged from the kitchen and invited us to choose any seat we liked. We opted to sit at the bar, where he provided us with menus and allowed us a few moments to decide on our drinks before returning to take our order. The menu features authentic Greek recipes. The Greek salad is a generous bowl filled with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and feta, all drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with oregano. They also serve Maroulosalata, which resembles the Greek salad we're used to—it includes lettuce and a vinegar dressing. There are plenty of choices. The entrees showcase recipes you’d find in a taverna in Athens or the islands, featuring chicken, steak, lamb, and of course, sides like delicious lemon potatoes or fries. The spanakopita is flavorful, and the portion is quite generous. The moussaka is a hearty comfort food that hits the spot. On my next visit, I'd love to try the lamb, dolmades, and keftedes. I enjoyed a glass of Greek red wine, which was excellent—full-bodied, slightly dry (just the way I like it), and fruity. I can't find the brand at our local store, but I hope to track it down for my pantry. If you have a picky eater, don't worry; they offer a kids' menu. With large, delicious portions, you might find yourself too full for dessert, so consider getting something 'to go.' I mean, who can resist that tempting walnut cake? This delightful 'mom-and-pop' restaurant is absolutely worth a visit. During our time there, we noticed a few 'takeaway' orders, so if you're not keen on dining in or simply don't have the time, placing a takeout order is a great option. Either way, Neos Greek Restaurant is definitely worth a try."
