"I have to say that I'm really confused by some of the other reviews for this restaurant. First of all they are in Dobson, not Elkin. There is inside dining available although they offer carryout as well. There was a different restaurant in this location 3 years ago so perhaps NY Pizzeria relocated to this spot? I don't know but makes me wonder about reviews older than 3 years. I will ask the next time we eat there to clarify. I've also never seen more than 2 people working there. The young man who waits on customers and on Saturday saw a lady come out of the kitchen. I say that for clarity since some of the other reviews reflect a very different story. The inside looks more like an old cafe. They have several booths up front and tables in the back. There is nothing fancy about the place. The glass window on the front is cracked and patched with duct tape but we go there for the pizza. In my opinion it's the best in town. Most restaurants make their pizza way too salty for my taste. We've eaten there 3 or 4 times and it's been consistently good food and service."

We ordered an extra-large New York Deluxe pizza, and it was excellent! We will definitely return! The new owners are fantastic, and the staff is great too!

The pizza has changed significantly. The new owners are serving very low-quality pizza now. When I visited recently, the place felt more like a hangout for teens. I definitely won't be returning. View menu

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! Reheated pizza, nasty tables, expired milk, employees dressed as if they were about to go out for a plumbing call! This is not a restaurant, it is a joke, and not a funny one at that.

Thank you so much for going the extra mile to deliver pizza for Eli's party today. It arrived early, was hot, and truly delicious! I really appreciate the special care you always take to meet your customers' needs. Thanks again!

I have been going here for quite awhile and ever since the new owners came in it feels like they're not even trying. The Service, Food and Atmosphere feels dull and generic. I got a small Mushroom/Bacon pizza, it tasted like dry cardboard topped with mushrooms. It's sad View menu

Great food. Had a New York pizza last week, crispy crust, hand made perfect, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions, extra cheese,as you can tell, I remember it fondly. Last evening had a philly sub with shaved ribeye, yum! Will be back next week. Dobson doesn’t have a lot of restaurants to choose from, glad we tried this.

Bad experience all around. The pizza and cinnamon sticks i got from here were not good. Cinnamon sticks were so greasy/soggy and couldnt hardly chew the crust. The crust on the pizza was the same way. We ended up throwing a large order of both away after only eating a few bites, very disappointed we not only wasted our money but was also left with nothing to eat for supper.

"This was a small hole in the wall along our way home. We were hungry coming off of a camping trip. Expecting diner food, we got your typical southern country menu. First thing was, upon walking in there was no greeting. No have a seat wherever. Or please wait to be seated. It was like they expected us to know. It was packed with what looked like the cast of deliverance. Pretty sure the town has some special olympians. The biscuit was huge and edible and that's about the only good thing we can say. Except the unsweet tea was good. So two things. The cubed steak special was anything but special. It tasted like canned cat food and the gravy was cold. The country ham was so salty it wasn't edible. Could not see a bathroom, but it was tiny so maybe they share it with a neighbor. Although it was a Sunday, and Sunday dining out options are quite limited in the south, I guess I shouldn't have had such high standards. Looked like an all women crew which is cool. They did receive a 99 score on some sort of health inspection but I suspect the health department officer is part of the inbreeding that's clearly going on in this town, cuz there just ain't no way they could pass any sort of health inspection. But I'm only judging what I could see and that included a very discolored and greasy ceiling, crud built up deep in the window sills and the blinds looked they they came out of a smokers trailer from 1962. So if you're going through Dobson on a Sunday, stop in for a biscuit and some unsweet tea and then keep driving before you hear dueling banjos."
