"On the evening of May 1st, 2022, my companion and I were promptly seated at a table by the window overlooking the Damariscotta River at the New Castle Publik House restaurant. The host quickly brought us two glasses of water and we were pleased to find a diverse menu with vegan options available. We decided to try the herbal hot tea, which came served in individual tea pots. The food was delicious, with fresh local ingredients like red carrots and fish in the Schellfisch kitchen dish, and a light and well-seasoned Rachel Haddock sandwich served on roasted rye bread with Cole slaw and Swiss cheese. The ambiance was enhanced by background radio music and charming Maine-themed wall paintings. We highly recommend dining at the New Castle Publik House restaurant."

The burger and fries were good, but the margarita had an overpowering amount of lime.

$17 hamburgers, but they have a pool table and a dart board. $7 or $8 beers. Open mic, karaoke, and live music nights regularly. Cool spot, but pricey.

This is a very nice place located right in town. Water views. The food is great they have some Jamaican themed foods. The service is good. The bathroom is very cold in the winter lol it has a great bar and some.bands on the weekend. View menu

we stopped for dinner on Saturday about 19 hours. we sat in the bar immediately, so we didn't have to wait for a table. the waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about eating. my man and I were satisfied with our meals and very full when we were gone.

After reviewing this restaurant, it has scored a 4.4 for food quality, beer selection, drinks, and employee professionalism. Overall, the restaurant has earned a solid 4.8 rating. We decided to sit at the bar and were impressed by the amazing stuffed squid dish. Our bartender, Kiarra, was attentive and professional. The wings were delicious and the Parmesan fries were a highlight. It was a great dining experience overall!
