"This is kind of an unassuming place. I don't know if you would expect the quality of food that you get from the looks of the place. The decor definitely has a trendy pub vibe, but there is a very casual atmosphere. You might wonder why a side of fries costs almost $10. It is because there is no way possible that you could eat them all. If you are ordering for kids, you could feed four kids ages 10 and under with two meals and an extra sandwich, or maybe three if one or two of them is particularly ravenous. Make sure you know whether your kids like sweet potato fries or not before you order, because mine got snatched There is a $2 upcharge if you sub your hand-cut fries with sweet potato fries. Two of my kids had the grilled cheese, which comes made on their hamburger bun, one had the chicken nuggets, which are nice, big, thickly-breaded chunks of chicken breast. I had the chicken salad sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend got a fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard on it, and that thing was massive. She also ordered fried pickles, and it was enough for at least four people. There are some things I didn't like that would make for a perfect visit if they were remedied. The text message receipt never showed up to my phone, so I had to go back after we ate and get them to print it. The lids didn't fit the cups at all, which is rough when you have a bunch of children with you or are walking your cup outside. The music was too loud inside. I was visiting with a hearing impaired friend, and it made it difficult for her to communicate, so we ate outside. We did enjoy eating outside. I don't recall anyone coming to check on us after we received our food, but everything was amazing, so it didn't really matter. Drinks are self-serve. Don't expect your food to come out rapid-fire. We didn't have to wait long, but it's not fast food. There is a sign that shows that there is a changing table in the handicap stall in the women's restroom. There is not. There is what looks like some kind of hardware storage cabinet that comes up to about your hips from the ground, and it had a toilet paper holder on it. Make sure you get your toilet paper before you go to the toilet, because there's no toilet paper in the wall dispenser, and there is no way, unless you are Stretch Armstrong or Inspector Gadget, that you can reach the toilet paper from the toilet. The other toilet was filled to the brim with water. Go for the food, not the bathroom If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks! The burgers are quite tasty, and you definitely shouldn't miss the truffle fries—they're the best!

Fabulous dine in experience in downtown Macon. Love the burgers and fries. Variety of juices are also a bonus.

The burger and beer here are your typical overpriced options with an artsy twist. Unfortunately, the fries were cold on both visits, and the beef wasn't cooked to the requested doneness. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either—just mediocre. View menu

By far the best burger place in Macon. Great beer selection that often rotates to bring better and better beer. Great fries, onion rings, and fried cheese curds. If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere and food for a date night or a night out with friends this is a great place to go!

We toured Mercer University decided to check out downtown Macon grab lunch right after. We’re glad we chose Ocmulgee Brewpub! My daughter had the “river creature” sandwich and said it was delicious. I had a beer (IPA) that was refreshing and strong fried green tomatoes with their jalapeño ranch that was pretty good. If she chooses Mercer, I’m sure we’ll visit this place again! View menu

I visited for the first time on Saturday, and I was really impressed. The staff were fantastic and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding, especially the Red Hot Love burger paired with hand-cut fries—it was just perfect. The selection of beers was also quite good and definitely worth trying out. I highly recommend this place; you won't be disappointed! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was outstanding! The Red Hot Love Burger was incredibly delicious. While the fries were average, the tater tots were fantastic! I really enjoyed their homemade sauces, especially the honey mustard. The service was excellent. We visited to watch the UGA football game, and the atmosphere was vibrant, filled with friendly people and amazing beer. The pineapple cider was particularly delightful.
