"We went to Oliver and Bonacini Cafe Grill for a girl's night out dinner. The good? The service was excellent. We had an attentive and professional waiter. The bad? The food. As in really bad. I started with the polenta fries....rectangular chunks of tasteless cornmeal served with a bland and chunky marinara sauce. Then on to a crab cake that was bland and listless served on an under seasoned coleslaw and topped with an off colour guacamole. If you read my other reviews you will see that I am quick to complement when compliments are due. So very disappointing."

I think we all pretty much had different plates from all over the world. I had Indian, sister and hubby Italian. Loved them all. Very tasty. Inside was fresh feeling and the wait staff great. Loved the walk there and the kids meals were tasty too.

I went there a few time when I first started in living in Toronto, I found the food average and the prices waaaaaaaayy too expensive and the service not great, I also found the place kind of stuffy and too much noise. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone. View menu

The terrasse is very enjoyable: not too sunny, a bit of greenery and comfortable seating. Extended choice of drinks: cocktails, beer by the bottle of draft, wine (not so impressive but still OK). I orderer the tuna tartare while my partner chose fish & chips....More

I am not picky about the food.But even for me the food was bad.Whites of Eggs Benedict were partially raw, regular mayonnaise instead of Hollandaise. None of three of us liked the food.The service - I have expected better.2 meals were served 5 minutes before the last one, and were cold when we started to eat.

This was close to our hotel (Hotel Victoria) so we stopped in to check it out.Great white wine sangria! We had an appetizer (zucchini chips) & the Prosciutto pizza. Both were delicious. Note - the pizza is large enough that 2 can easily share it!Staff were very friendly.Place is huge with lots of seating indoors & a nice patio outside.Price was average for Toronto & this seemed like a more upscale place. We are huge fans of Bonacini's and often go to Canoe. We have always remarked on the excellent service and food.However today we were here for a late lunch. Our steak frites were perfect. However once we had our orders we only saw our server once more. No one ever came to ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. I watched three tourists be seated who then left after never being served.My husband had to go find someone to bring us a bill, still no offers of coffee or dessert.Disappointing.

Enjoyed a night out with girlfriends and decided to try O&B...so happy we did.Great atmosphere, (a bit loud) delicious food and service.We were there to celebrate a birthday and they did a wonderful job at making our girlfriend feel super special. Dessert took a long time to come out and to make up for the long wait, dessert was complimentary, if that wasn't enough, we complimented their wonderful gluten free bread and came home with a loaf of bread on the house!Absolutely wonderful experience!
