"This was a very conflicting experience, to start the interior was very modern yet warm and comforting, I love the open kitchen concept. The service was excellent but the food. The food was disappointing, all of dish was well cooked but it was not memorable. It feels like it is missing something. The chicken katsu was tender but it was missing the texture, the crunch and I expected a more sophisticated sauce for this level of restaurant. The potato was well cooked but again the sauce, it didn’t not enhance the dish, it tasted rather bland. So is the green beans, very well cooked but not enough flavor. The spicy noddle could be placed in better functional bowls and there was just a lot of different things going on. The cheesecake was really delicious and light but the ends was slightly burnt and bitter. The matcha cookies had a surprise chocolate insert but it was overall a bit dry. This restaurant has so much potential and it is a very lovely place to sit and catch up with friends. I saw group of people sitting and drinking tea and wine, so maybe it is a better bar than a restaurant. Overall, I would recommend for the experience but not for the taste."

Creative food. Well intended service but slightly inadequate. Exceptionally noisy.

Crafty, inspired, and delicious. Pagu’s menu covers a diverse range of flavors and the staff are kind, personable, and knowledgeable about their dishes. View menu

Really solid meal, but ultimately underwhelming as a fancy night out and we felt like we tasted all the best things in a single meal so no need to go back.

We enjoyed the Pork Bao Buns, Katsu Chicken, Knife Cut Spicy Noodles, Fried Calamari, and Patatas Bravas, and everything was amazing! I would absolutely recommend it—10 out of 10!

Great atmosphere. Creative dishes that combine many different cuisines with great results. Portion sizes are very small, so this is a restaurant for trying foods, or for small appetites. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and vegan options, note that portions are small View menu

Visited Pagu last Tuesday with Off the Beaten Path Food Tours and it was AMAZING! We each had cocktails (the Pica Pica packs a punch! and tried the Black Cod Croquettas and Patatas Bravas. The flavors were unforgettable, and so was the story about the meaning behind the name ‘Pagu’. Our servers were attentive and had a great working knowledge of the entire menu. Can’t brag enough about this place!

The restaurant seemed promising with its creative and unique menu, but unfortunately, the food fell short in terms of flavor and was quite pricey. We sampled several dishes: the hand rolls were just average and nothing special compared to what you would find at a typical sushi restaurant; the sucking pig, which I was eagerly anticipating, turned out to be quite disappointing; the salmon bowl consisted mainly of mushy rice; and while the pea bao looked appealing, I didn’t taste it. Overall, nothing was particularly delicious. The costs were steep, with the pig tapas for two people costing $72. What really frustrated me was the additional 4% "kitchen appreciation" fee that gets taxed—this was...

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
