"We were so looking forward to enjoying our anniversary dinner at Pamplemousse. But, the food was absolutely terrible. Two of us ordered chicken cordon bleu, which was not on the regular menu. It was an old piece of frozen chicken, had no flavor, and the sauce and rice were just as bad. The other two of us had steak, a ribeye and a hangar, and neither was very good. The service was great, but the food was a huge disappointment. We paid for that! Never again"

Food was excellent aside from the default french fries that come with entres. French fries with a filet mignon, really? The decor was nice enough but definitely outdated, and the area this is in is sketchy at best, not a nice part of the city to be in View menu

I love the old school vibe, but this place truly needs some TLC. I’m not thinking full makeover, but definitely a touch up. Note: no issue with the food, just the decor. I have eaten here a few times over the past years. I will not go back unless I know they have made some updates

This place is living on its reputation. The bread was stale. The lamb hops were tasteless and tough. The filet mug on was not edible. You get better meat at Denny’s. The French fries were soggy and not fit for human consumption. Lava cake dessert was ok but go to Roys for a really good one

I used to come here years ago. It has really gone done. Our server was so strange. It took forever just to order our first drink, the decor and flooring is awful and some of the food at our table was great, and some did not like their meal. At the end, we were overcharged for beer and it was resolved View menu

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The main waiter was outstanding, giving suggestions and very accommodating to our requests, we've been to a lot of Vegas restaurants and this guy raised the bar. The portions were a little small by Vegas standards, but very tasty. Great evening thanks to all the great staff..

As my wife said, 'this place is cute'. The atmosphere is 'throwback to the and very classic and cozy. They start you off with a complimentary vegetable tray that could be a meal if you ate it all. The food is great, especially the Foie gras and French Onion soup as starters. The main entree portions are huge, so one can easily satisfy two persons

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
