"I appreciate that young people are working during the summer rather than getting into trouble, which is a responsible choice considering how expensive it is to buy trendy items these days. We did it when we were younger, but prices have definitely gone up, especially with all the technology available now. As for drinks, they offer the usual soda options, sweet and unsweet tea, as well as watermelon lemonade. I decided to make an unsweetened Arnold Palmer with the watermelon lemonade, and I was pleasantly surprised – it was delicious. My food arrived shortly after I sat down, and it was hot and perfectly cooked. The shrimp was a nice size, and the breading was fantastic – definitely better than what I've had elsewhere. The hush puppies were cooked just right, with a crisp exterior and a soft, flavorful inside. One downside was that the restaurant could use a thorough cleaning. The floors seemed sticky, which made me wonder if they weren’t mixing the mop water properly, and a good sweeping would help too. I would definitely come back for lunch or to try their dinner options. I thought there was an issue with my bill on my first visit, but it turned out I wasn't overcharged. I didn't receive an itemized receipt, so I wasn't sure at the time. On my return to discuss it, a different young lady attended to me, and she was just as courteous. She double-checked my order for accuracy and even reprinted the receipt. I often forget how lunch prices have risen, and sometimes the drink isn’t included with the lunch plate, as was the case here. But that’s understandable since they need to support their business and pay their employees. Overall, I left satisfied. As for accessibility, there's a ramp and a wide door for wheelchair access."

We got the shrimp boat in the loaf of bread and seafood gumbo and chicken and sausage gumbo. All would be a 5 star but the sausage and chicken gumbo was not hot enough and after warmed up…was okay. But we will eat here again!!! The loaf of bread that the held the shrimp was sooo good.

Have been hare a few times in the past and was great. Went this evening and was very disappointed in the food. Different kind of bread, not toasted or heated, not enough mayothroughout the bread. Also, they have not updated their prices on the online menu. I was a little floored when they told me the total. Just was not a happy experience!

Will never come back here. The food was dry and unimpressive. The boil, was in fact not a boil. My husband asked for a refund and they said “we don’t do refunds.” That was no where advertised. Worst “boil” in Louisiana. Indianas boil makes this look like chum. No seasoning, no butter, no fatty heart attack that I was looking for. Dry STEAMED mess. Not a boil.As Randy Jackson would say “It’s a no from me dawg.”

This is both a seafood market and a restaurant, and in my view, there's something for everyone here. The charbroiled oysters were fantastic. I ordered the fried meat pies, which were a bit overcooked for my taste, but that's alright. The gravy was delicious, and the filling was just right. The atmosphere of this family-owned restaurant is wonderful, and the mural of Lake Pontchartrain on the back wall is impressive. View menu

This quaint little restaurant offers a delightful array of seafood dishes. We tried the fried seafood platter, boiled shrimp, and grilled oysters, and everything was excellent. However, the boiled shrimp were a bit softer than we prefer, which typically indicates they may have been cooked for too long. Overall, the food is definitely worth a visit. The staff was friendly and attentive as well. Just a heads up—parking is limited, so it's best to arrive early!

Stopped in on Mother’s Day to buy a few pounds of crawfish and a dozen boiled crabs to eat at home. We were at another close by seafood market but they didn’t have any crabs after waiting in line for over 30 mins. I’m so glad we went to Pearls because now I’ve found a new spot for good boiled crabs “they were delicious” and we had friendly service. We had a few people before us but the lady acknowledged us by saying she would be right with us. This place was nice and seemed like family restaurant. I have to come back to dine in one day.

Would NOT RECOMMEND! I called to try and place an order for a sack of crawfish for my dad to pickup tomorrow morning to transport to Florida for me. I called 6 times, the first time they answered and were going to put me on hold and then hung up on me. I called 5 more times, the last time they answered again. Put me on hold which I could hear a whole conversation about a new customer that was complaining about their food that him and his wife ordered that was raw and inedible. Poor customer service. Doesn 't sound like their food is very good and may make you sick. So disappointed, as I was really looking forward to being able to cook some crawfish for my kids for the first time. View menu

First off, FLIES kept flying around us and our food. 2nd, I believe I got a stomach bug after eating here. I didn't eat much but I did have a couple raw oysters and the tea with lemonade. Soon after, I started belching Sulphur smelling gas, followed by stomach ache and diarrhea. Can't say for sure it was from this place, but the symptoms happened soon after. I have been miserable for 3 days so far.I also noted that the utensils appeared dirty and most of the ketchup bottles were empty. I had to grab two near empty bottles just to have enough for dipping.Service was decent but my partner noted the fact that the place was being ran by teens.I've had crawfish from them before with no issue. The takeout experience this time was a complete disappointment. The fries were a soggy, greasy mess. The grilled chicken po boy I ordered was missing they gave me a shrimp po boy instead (somebody else got my sandwich I suppose). By the time I was home and realized I had the wrong sandwich they were closed, so I am left without recourse. Nothing against a shrimp po boy but That Is Not What I Ordered!I live nearby to Peck's but I drive clear across town to Pearl's because it usually is better. I won't say don't eat at Pearl's everyone can have an off day but go in there and sit and eat and you'll get better food and a nicer experience. Their takeout service is lousy. This isn't the first time...
