"I appreciate that young people are working during the summer rather than getting into trouble, which is a responsible choice considering how expensive it is to buy trendy items these days. We did it when we were younger, but prices have definitely gone up, especially with all the technology available now. As for drinks, they offer the usual soda options, sweet and unsweet tea, as well as watermelon lemonade. I decided to make an unsweetened Arnold Palmer with the watermelon lemonade, and I was pleasantly surprised – it was delicious. My food arrived shortly after I sat down, and it was hot and perfectly cooked. The shrimp was a nice size, and the breading was fantastic – definitely better than what I've had elsewhere. The hush puppies were cooked just right, with a crisp exterior and a soft, flavorful inside. One downside was that the restaurant could use a thorough cleaning. The floors seemed sticky, which made me wonder if they weren’t mixing the mop water properly, and a good sweeping would help too. I would definitely come back for lunch or to try their dinner options. I thought there was an issue with my bill on my first visit, but it turned out I wasn't overcharged. I didn't receive an itemized receipt, so I wasn't sure at the time. On my return to discuss it, a different young lady attended to me, and she was just as courteous. She double-checked my order for accuracy and even reprinted the receipt. I often forget how lunch prices have risen, and sometimes the drink isn’t included with the lunch plate, as was the case here. But that’s understandable since they need to support their business and pay their employees. Overall, I left satisfied. As for accessibility, there's a ramp and a wide door for wheelchair access."
All prices are estimates on menu.
