"I ate here after arriving at San Diego International Airport, and I am glad I choose this place. I sat on the patio outside with a gorgeous view of the marina. All the staff was really friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The food was really good. I’m pretty sure I had the Thai chicken pasta, it’s flavors were rich and delicious. The pizza was also top notch quality. Their menu had a nice selection of various options, all of which looked good. My only complaints were the service felt a tad slow, the inside of the restaurant has many families with rowdy children, and young children will probably try to get their hands and sleeves wet in the fountain (if you are a parent just make sure to supervise your kid extra well). Good news is all of those are minor issues, and I still had a great experience. I am definitely stopping here next time I fly into San Diego."

Fish filets chips were extraordinary. Thin crispy breading with perfectly seasoned and cooked tender juicy Mahi-Mahi.

Great pizza and jalapeno cream shrimp pasta and of course garlic knots! Love the patio on the harbor with a nice fountain

Nice spot for casual dining. Not an inexpensive pizza spot but it has typical pricing for dining on the water along the San Diego waterfront.

They have nice food here and some good craft beers on tap, but it is a bit expensive. I especially liked the fish and chips. The pesto and garlic bread was good, too. I still have to try their pizza. View menu

This is not your average pizza joint... it's better. I really like this neat little place! I can't believe I lived in this area for so long and never been here before. The food is great! The atmosphere is amazing. The customer service was awesome! You will love it!

I had a wonderful lunch today with delicious pizza and salad. The atmosphere near the harbor was delightful. However, the only downside was the 4% surcharge “due to an increase in costs.” Pizza Nova, I suggest you adjust your menu prices instead of adding extra fees. Surcharges tend to be unpopular with customers.

The location is lovely, and the food was quite good overall. However, I was let down by the lobster bisque, which should have been a creamy version but ended up being more like a thin puree. The halibut was fantastic, but the risotto wasn’t really a true risotto; it felt more like just rice mixed with tomatoes and spinach. View menu

I had an excellent experience there. From the time I was seated until I walked out the door. The food was hot, fresh, and very pleasing to the palette! Our server Kristin friendliness, patience, and attention to detail was great as she made sure that my son's pizza order was exactly the way he wanted it. The food came out in a timely manner and the presentation was nice. I will definitely visit this establishment repeatedly

Came here after my competition because we wanted some great pizza, Friends brought us here and we ordered the all meat pizza and some wings. Not to mention we went on saturday and waited roughly 45mins-1 hour Pizza was a bit disappointing(salty), wings were okay. They do give you unlimited garlic knots if it comes with your order those were pretty good. Our waiter was great, Overall all right, wouldn’t recommend it to others

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
