"The service was disappointing even before we reached our table. After adding our names to the waitlist, we waited patiently. The hostess called the names ahead of us and then skipped us twice to seat others. There were just two of us, and when she seated a party of three who arrived about five minutes after we did, we figured maybe they needed a larger table. But that didn't quite make sense considering there were only three of them. Then, she seated another couple who arrived ten minutes after us. Frustrated, we asked her about it, and she insisted she was following the list order. We pointed out her list and noted that she had seated two other parties before us, despite our name being higher up. She glanced at the list but didn’t offer an explanation and reiterated that it would be a while, seemingly indifferent to her mistake. I won't be returning. I appreciated that it was a family-owned restaurant, but when the treatment is so unwelcoming and disrespectful, I can’t justify going back."

"I recently visited a pizza restaurant that seems to be struggling to stay afloat, and after experiencing their lack of attention to detail, I understand why. The restaurant does not answer their phone, no matter how many times you try calling. After attempting to reach them at least 10 times without success, we decided to order from another place, Park Avenue Sports Cafe, where the pizza was much better. Their crust was not as thick and the toppings were fresher compared to the other restaurant we tried."

"I wish the waiter would have asked if I wanted rice or beans, I am so a custom to burrito plates coming with them automatically I didn’t even think to ask. The food was awesome and the service was great as well. I ate the steak fajita burrito with horchata to drink. It was a much lighter burrito than I’m use to as it isn’t filled with cheese, beans, or rice. It was nice to eat the entire thing without feeling like I needed a nap straight away."

"We’re from out of town but occasionally visit Beaver Dam. One thing we look forward to is grabbing lunch or dinner at the Ale House. John and his staff are very welcoming. We’re nowhere near “regulars” but they treat us as though we are. The menu has a great variety of items from which to choose. Same with the beer list. Looking forward to dropping in again tomorrow night."

"My family of 4 stopped in for lunch a week ago. We've been here in the past and I wasn't impressed, but thought we'd give it another go. This place is unsanitary. All of our silverware was dirty. I had the waitress bring some new silverware only to realize the majority of the dishes that our food was served on was dirty. One of the bowls had so much old crusted egg yolk that I don't know how they didn't notice. Maybe they need to look into their dishwasher. We sat in a booth. There is a large noticeable space between the booth and the window. I can't begin to tell you how disgusting it was. There was old food, garbage, gum, etc. I wanted to vomit. Then to make matters worse there was hair in my food. I couldn't leave fast enough and didn't want to make a big deal about it as there were many people around us eating. I support family owned business, but this place is absolutely disgusting. I will NEVER eat there again. This place don't even deserve 1 star. I tipped the waitress. But the staff was not very friendly either. So disappointed and still gagging when I think about it."
