Cannot overstate the excellence of my lunch. Delicious, beautifully presented. Very glad I tried something completely new to me.... Krispy kale. Housemade tempeh. Fan for life!!!

The lamb and fries were bursting with flavor. The beets paired with the aioli were exactly what you'd expect: just beets with some herbed mayonnaise, but they lacked an extra touch to elevate them. The squash was tasty, but it was overly sweet—almost like dessert due to the jam that covered it. I appreciated the creativity behind the dishes, but the flavors just didn’t come together for me. However, I think I might give it another try.

Quaint establishment serving American cuisine on the main drag in downtown Annapolis. After our tour of the near by naval academy, the Preserve was the lunchtime choice for our group. When we arrived, the restaurant was sill serving brunch. I chose the sausage , grits and gravy as my entree. It was very good. Just the right amount of food. I also enjoyed my wife's preserve burger entree as a left over the next day. The burger was was very good as well. The Peserve had a very good selection of adult beverages including local craft beers. I had the local pilzner draft that was exceptional. I definitely recommend the Preserve for any meal while visiting downtown Annapolis.

I usually write reviews only when I have a truly exceptional or terrible experience, and this restaurant definitely falls into the exceptional category. Although it took me a month to find the time to write this, the meal was worth it. Overall, the food was good, but the fish and chips were absolutely outstanding. In fact, I've never had catfish for fish and chips before, and it was a delightful surprise. The fish was perfectly thin, crisp, and seasoned to perfection. My only criticism would be the fries; they were a little bulky and not as satisfying as I had hoped.
