Stopped in for lunch with our son and were met with friendly service and the best darn burgers ever! Had two BFF and one Island Gal burger. Yummmmm!

I have visited this restaurant a few times. The Shrimp Grits were really delicious, but I believe the server could use more training. The atmosphere was okay, but it tends to be quite crowded. Additionally, the parking situation was not very friendly, as it was difficult to find a spot. Overall, the food was excellent, receiving a rating of 5 out of 5.

This restaurant is charming and on the smaller side. It's best to arrive early for better seating and faster service. I came in just after 10am on a Sunday morning. The wait for food wasn't too long. I really enjoyed the crab omelette, giving it a strong 8 out of 10 rating. I'm pleased to have been able to support this business owned by a black woman. Food rating: 4 out of 5.

I have attended the Roots Picnic at this restaurant two years in a row, and both times it was a five-star experience. The food was familiar but with unique twists, and we were able to bring our own champagne to enjoy mimosas made with their non-traditional strawberry lemonade. The service was prompt, and the staff was welcoming and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable.

My friend and I disagree on this place. My friend said his food was amazing for the second time and gave the restaurant 5/5. This time and the first time we’ve went I’ve not really liked the food. My waffle was bad and cold when it came out. The chicken was good and they saw it was small and brought me a second piece but for how much it costs really not worth it.The space is cool. View menu

This was our 4th time trying to catch the restaurant open. It was worth the wait. I had the Sinful Salmon with shrimp. It was extremely well prepared. Seasoned perfectly. The service was fantastic. Our waiter made some excellent recommendations. Theonly miss for me were the chairs. These unique chairs overpower the entire dining experience. I Never could get comfortablewhile eating but then again, maybe that?s the goal. Enjoy the food and move on. All-in-All, I?d say definitely get there andenjoy the food!!!!

We live in NJ and always in search of our next foodie adventure. This place was AMAZING! It?s a very intimate setting, the staff were great and the food was EVERYTHING! We ordered the wings for starters (finger licking good! I ordered shrimp scampi and myother half ordered the chicken pasta?all so delicious! If I had one complaint, it would be that we felt there should be garlicbread (or similar to go with the pasta?we are bread lovers LOL! Lastly, the mixed drinks were strong and also delicious. We aredefinitely going back!

Came in for a quick dinner before I went to the 76ers vs Nets game. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a young man who took us to our seats and told us that he'd be serving us as well. He was able to grab our drink orders and got them out in atimely fashion. Shortly after he took our food orders, the food began to come out. I ordered the turkey burger and fries.Everything was fresh and hot. The food was amazing. Overall my experience was a great one and I'd definitely return in thefuture whenever I'm back in Philly.
