"My husband and I visited the Pullman Wine Bar on the evening of March 18. I thought it strange that you have to enter the restaurant through some plastic panels. We were immediately seated upstairs and, although there were some empty tables, we ended up sitting in between two other tables with couples. The tables were so close together that it was impossible not to hear every part of their conversations. We had a great server named Julie, who was very friendly and knowledgeable both about the food and the wine choices. Unfortunately, Julie had to leave quite soon after we were seated and we were then served by the Sommelier who definitely did not have the same level of friendliness or the personality. The food is mainly tapas and was very good (we had the Tuna Tataki, Chorizo appetizer, fried cod brandade, boned quail and the cavatelli with boar bolognese - the latter was definitely my favorite!).So, overall, I would say the food was delicious, service was overall very good but the atmosphere left something to be desired."

Girls' night out. We had an excellent selection of wine and delicious food to share. The ambiance was lively and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the wine selection and made sure we had just the right amount of food for sharing.

Great selection of wines but not the most comfortable setting. Rather small and I wouldn't recommend for a large group. We had 8 in our party and were seated in the lower level. Low ceilings and the music was a little too loud which made...having a conversation difficult. The Bison sliders were good, but every things else we shared were just OK. View menu

I've always wanted to go to Pullman and I'm so glad I did! Only thing I failed to do was make a reservation (highly recommend it!). Note that if you are coming in for a drink, you must order food (it's their policy). There are plenty of creative and delicious small plates to choose from! the wine list is fantastic, great service in a very cool setting! Pullman is definitely on my go-to list for wine bars in Montreal!

We stopped in for a glass of wine on a weekday and sat at the bar. We weren't familiar with any of the labels offered for wines by the glass as the vintners are smaller places. The bartender suggested a few, and we enjoyed all that we tried. They offer small and large pours, so you can taste more easily than other wine bars. We didn't try the food. The decor is fun, the chandelier is made of wine glasses. The bartenders was friendly but not obtrusive.

We walked and walked and walked. Uphill all the way as the neighborhood deteriorated. Finally! The drinks were the okay but the small plates were just average. If there really was any saffron in the aroncini it didn't make it the ones on our plate. They were crisp and cheesy though but again not sufficiently spiced or salted. The smoked salmon was quite good though. Service friendly. We ended up going to Modavie and sitting at the bar wishing we had come there, instead. View menu

We visited Montreal over a January weekend, and decided to come here on the Sunday. I reserved a table earlier the same day. We were quickly seated, and informed about the 1/2 price wine bottles on Sundays. Very nice surprise. The service was flawless. We...got just enough attention, and never had to ask for anything. Food was spectacular. We had lots of tapas style dishes as. Beef tartare was fantastic, oysters were fresh, and the green bean dish super tasty. Even a boring sounding dish like the roasted vegetables was mouth watering good. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

This is a great place to go if you are looking for good food and wine in sampling sizes. As I was with one other person who preferred red wine and I was in the mood for white, we were both able to try several...varieties (2-4 oz pours) via ordering flights or by the glass. Food was amazing. Specifically, the charcuterie board with homemade terrine and sausage/salami. Also enjoyed the port soaked grilled cheese, beets, lamb and quail. Dessert was churros with unsweetened chocolate sauce. Service was very personalized. The only potential drawback is the close quarters with other patrons and stool height seating. Be prepared to linger as the tapas are served at a leisurely pace which is quite e...
