"Although Rae’s might seem like an unusual spot for many, being situated within an apartment and townhome complex, it certainly distinguishes itself as a unique dining venue. The interior design evokes the charm of beachfront restaurants commonly found along the Southeast coast, just as the name suggests. The menu offers a delightful selection of tropical, Caribbean, and Southern dishes infused with island vibes, along with daily food and drink specials. I opted for the jerk chicken, served with rice and beans and a remoulade. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and wonderfully marinated. The service was excellent as well; our waitress was attentive, delightful to chat with, and had a vibrant personality. Her outstanding service truly enhanced our overall experience. I would definitely return in the future."

Absolutely LOVE this restaurant. It's tucked out of the way, but it's worth navigating to for deliciousness!I ALWAYS start with a dirty martini so good!I ALWAYS have the Rae's salad, with just the right amount of oil vinegar dressing, topped with pita chips YES!I then split an order of their double fried wings with whomever will share (they come out ahead because I usually don't have room for more than 2 or 3) The flavor and crunch is like none other anywhere! The atmosphere and service is awesome! Love Rae’s! We don’t go often but when we go it’s always great. Unfortunately this evening when we went our server actually accused my husband and my daughter (2of4 in our party) of dine and dashing. She followed them to the front as he was taking her to the bathroom while me and my son finished eating and asked if that was his intent!!! He mentioned it to the girls in the front and was told she seems to say things like that often. We aren’t the richest people in Town, but if we go somewhere to eat we surely intend to pay! Needless to say, she lost her tip!

Great date night spot. This restaurant is tucked away in a neighborhood and definitely gives that this is where the locals eat vibe. If you plan on eating dinner here on a weekend, I highly recommend reservations and leave your big trucks home. The parking lot is a little tight. I love their chicken puff pastry. I come just for that. Tonight, I had jerk chicken made with breasts smothered with a sweet mango chutney. It wasn 't on their menu, but the waitress recommended it, and I was not disappointed! I really like the atmosphere here. It gives off that island feel. So, when I 'm missing the beach and can 't get away, I like to come here for a bite to eat.

"Hands down the best food I've had in Augusta. In Augusta for work, and have been trying out various restaurants with the work crew. This place I is the first that had me saying I'm coming back. EVERYTHING was good! Seating is limited and there was a short (10min) then from there it's either buffet style or takeout option. We dined in, which gave me a chance to sample EVERYTHING. I started with the salmon in lemon sauce. Not overcooked and just delicious. This was my favorite. Seconds were had. Next up was the fried pork loin. Probably my least favorite protein but still good. I'm not much of a pork person and still enjoyed. Then the barbeque chicken. This..was..good. seasoned to the bone. For sides, there was some corn and lima beans and plain rice. After this, we had the beef gumbo. The gumbo truth be told was more a soup. For me gumbo needs to be a little thicker...heartier. Whatever you want to call it delicious. The beef was seasoned well, tender and the broth flavoured with okras. There was also a salad bar, and I just had a fresh salad. Typical salad toppings with some.black olives and jalapenos to spice it up a little. Not sure about the dressing, I did without. Then everything was topped off with the peach cobbler. I enjoyed this as well, probably because it was not overly sweet. But I know people are passionate about their cobbler, so opinions will very. All in all, I'm definitely going back and look forward to different daily dishes. We were told when leaving tomorrow (Friday) is fried chicken day."
