"WAS IN UNEXPECTED FIND TURNS INTO A PLEASANT SURPRISE. This evaluation is based exclusively on my experience and my personal opinion. I went to the Thai Fresh Gardens restaurant on Thursday night, 12/2/21 and it was my first time. PLACE: That night I was very tired and sleepy, but nevertheless I forced myself to go out and find a nice place to eat. I finally decided to join my friends and explore La Grande in a very cold night. We parked our car and started walking and strolling around, we discovered the unusual golden elephant statues standing in front of a building entrance. We decided to follow the signs to this Thai Fresh Gardens we had just seen at the entrance glass door. We went down the stairs and suddenly it was as if we had just crashed into another world... a world of our own... a kind of underground world greeted by a fountain and a narrow path that goes around an eleven-like village. on the sides of the way many shop windows, many doors and many beautiful decoration. I felt like I went around a Christmas village... so a pleasant feeling. At any point, along the way, you can see a large open space with a long table and fabric art frame.... then medieval style windows and then a Caribbean tree with colorful parrots and pretty birds. We just found the Thai Fresh Gardens restaurant....what a pleasant surprise. FOOD: We ordered Thai Fresh Gardens Fresh Rice, Yellow Curry, Crispy Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Vegetable Eggs Roll, Broccoli and Meat and Tom Yam Soup. All our meals were delicious and well prepared. I loved the fresh ingredients and the combination of sweet and bitter. I tried every one of our orders and my favorite was the Thai fresh garden of fried rice, and secondly the Thai vegetable roll with tofu. I really enjoy them. Just remember, this is not a fast food restaurant, so you need to wait to prepare for them and cook your food, regardless of what you order. CLEANLINESS: The whole cleanliness was very good and they would come and clean the table as soon as customers leave. STAFF: The young girl who served us was nice and helpful, kind I would say. She took photos from us, she explained the menu for us and did her best to meet our needs. Very customer-oriented person. Less friendly and customer-oriented was her mother, who could not understand English very well in all truth. PRICES: not as cheap as you would expect from a restaurant in La Grande OR, but it is the only Ethnic restaurant in the city, also parts are big and flavors are there, so it is worth the money. CONCLUSIONS: I really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. very positive customer experience and a very good mood."

"They are a western/ small-town vibe restaurant/bar. It was a good experience when I went in, the guy was fast and friendly. The food is really good for a filling breakfast, in which it's served all day. I went in about 2 pm, and it wasn't packed. I ordered the longbranch hashbrown deluxe. It's actually alot more food than it looks, it was really good and it comes with with a choice of white, wheat, rye, and sourdough bread and they put the butter on it before they serve it- in which I find it convenient. I ordered a couple of drinks as well. I got their mimosa, and it's a glass with orange juice and lunetta prosecco sparkling wine, it's wasn't too bad. I also ordered a smith and Wesson mixed drink, and that was made very well. It wasn't too overbearing, nor was it too weak on the alcohol."

"Additionally, your salads are always fresh and beautifully prepared, and I appreciate that the dressing is served on the side, allowing customers to customize their servings. Thank you for serving delicious food at the fair every year; it truly surpasses anything from Domino's. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting La Grande and to the locals as well. Thank you for your dedication and excellent service!"

"We were passing through and searching for a place to grab a bite to eat when we stumbled upon The Dusty Spur. We were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding breakfast options and the reasonable prices! The ordering system was quite efficient: you place your order when you arrive, enjoy your meal, and then pay as you leave. Initially, we were uncertain about the somewhat closed-off atmosphere, but it turned out to be a popular spot for locals, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The breakfast buffet was appealing, and everything we tried was delicious. We would definitely make a stop here again on our travels!"

The only reminder of its previous life is an open garage door, currently blocked by a stack of kegs. Above the entrance, the logo resembles a playful flame, adding to the establishment's unique character. Inside, the decor evokes the feeling of a firefighter's space, creating a cozy ambiance that feels truly special. Now, let’s discuss the food—it was exceptional! My dad ordered the tuna sandwich, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of tuna tucked between the potato buns. The seasoning was expertly balanced, making every bite delicious. My mom chose the tuna salad, which prominently featured a wonderful tuna steak. My sister, who can be a bit picky, opted for the rice bowl. The staff kindly accommodated her request to skip the rice, replacing it with fresh spinach, and it turned out to be another fantastic dish. We've decided that this will be our go-to stop for lunch or dinner on future road trips, or even just for a relaxing break along the way. The staff was outstanding, ensuring our dining experience was truly exceptional. Thank you for a memorable meal!"
