"Timbers Dive Bar in Smyrna, Georgia, provides a distinctive and lively atmosphere that combines the inviting character of a dive bar with the thrill of live musical performances. If you're in search of a relaxed evening enriched by music, good company, and a touch of nostalgia, this venue is definitely worth your visit. As soon as you enter Timbers, you're welcomed by its authentic dive bar vibe. The dimly lit space, decorated with vintage memorabilia and rustic wooden furnishings, gives off a sense of history and genuineness. It feels like a cozy hideaway where you can kick back and forget your troubles. The live music at Timbers is a significant highlight. Despite the small stage, it hosts talented local bands that deliver lively, crowd-pleasing performances. With a mix of classic rock and bluesy tunes, there's something for everyone to enjoy — whether you want to tap your feet or get up and dance. The intimate atmosphere fosters a more personal interaction with the performers, enhancing the overall experience. However, it's worth noting that due to the live music and enthusiastic crowd, Timbers can get quite noisy. While this vibrant environment may be appealing for those looking for a bustling night out, it might not suit those in search of a quieter, more laid-back evening. Smoking is permitted at Timbers, which can be seen as both an advantage and a disadvantage, depending on your preferences. For smokers, it’s a chance to enjoy their favorite smoke while listening to the music. On the other hand, for non-smokers or those sensitive to smoke, it could be a nuisance. The venue tries to ensure proper ventilation, but the scent can be prominent in certain areas. The drink menu at Timbers is fairly typical for a dive bar, featuring a selection of beers, cocktails, and spirits at reasonable prices. The bartenders are friendly and quick to serve, ensuring that you’re never left waiting during a performance. Another noteworthy aspect is the sense of community at Timbers. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you’ll be greeted warmly by staff and fellow guests alike. It’s a place where you can easily strike up conversations with others and feel like you’re part of the Timbers family. In summary, Timbers Dive Bar in Smyrna, GA, resonates with its engaging mix of rustic charm, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for a lively night out filled with good tunes, friendly people, and a bit of smoke, Timbers is the place to go. Just be ready for the noise and embrace the genuine dive bar experience that this hidden gem has to offer."

Love this small, local establishment. I stop in every once in a while to watch live music and by chance run into one of my old school chums! Really good food that would surprise you!

Randomly stopped in this bar with two friends on a Friday night. It was Smyrna's Cheers bar everybody knew each other but they were so friendly to outsiders. They had the karaoke going, would recommend 10/10 View menu

We went for late lunch, 3 pm. Was very good. The cheese fries are a favorite of my husband. I really enjoyed the tilapia, their house special. Its an older place with character. You can smoke inside and the bar is open. A real classic place in Smyrna.

Figured I'd try it out. Walked in, wreaked of cigarette smoke, but sat anyways. It wasn't a weekend so it wasn't busy. After sitting at the bar for 10 minutes without being acknowledged, I got up, walked out, and went to varners across the street. Not impressed, most likely not going back.

"What I know about Haitian food could fit the top of a pin, but if Zeke 's is a fair representation, I now know that it must be flavorful. The djon djon bowl was the crowning glory of our order, and it deserves all the hype it gets here on Yelp. I was curious about what 'djon djon ' was, and when we asked our server, she explained it was their version of a traditional black rice made with beans or mushrooms. Whatever was in it, it was the most delicious bed for the charred plantains, grilled shrimp, and toppings. It can also be ordered with jerk chicken, salmon, or avocado all of which I 'm looking forward to trying on return visits. The menu describes the accompanying aioli as 'epic, ' which is entirely correct. It reminded me of a slightly spicier version of the white sauce that comes with Halal food, and it brought the whole bowl together beautifully. My husband ordered a jerk chicken salad, which he praised as fresh and tasty . We were a little less enthusiastic about the salmon dip, which sounded delicious on the menu but turned out to be a little saltier than I would 've preferred. What rounded up our love for Zeke 's was the service. Our water glasses were constantly refilled, food was bussed out with efficiency, and our servers couldn 't be kinder or more welcoming. The interior is surprisingly nice (in fact, as we walked in, my husband wondered aloud if this was too fancy a place for our athleisure outfits), but I agree with one reviewer about the music being a tad loud. Luckily, here are a few outdoor tables available for those who might feel similarly."
