"My recent visit to Red Lobster in Cookeville, Tennessee, was incredibly disappointing. We ordered the steak and lobster but the server came back to ask if we wanted the filet instead of the sirloin because they were out. Then returned again to let us know it would be an upcharge on our bill. Slightly tacky but we agreed.Unfortunately the lobster tails were not fresh which led to them being discolored and chewy, and the butter served with the end was incredibly greasy. I 'm pretty sure it was a package product and not actual clarified butter. Despite requesting my steak to be cooked medium, it arrived overcooked not once, but twice, rendering it inedible. Even with a $10 discount, the bill amounted to $75, which felt like a steep price for such a subpar dining experience. While the service was adequate, the poor quality of the food and the inability to enjoy a significant part of the meal left a sour taste in our mouth. I cannot recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a satisfying dining experience given the other restaurants in the area."

Not much changed since last visit, just fewer diners. Server obviously has had little training. Sweet girl, but needs server training.

I like almost everything on the menu, it's the details that bother me, when they serve you cocktail sauce it's really just ketchup, if there is any horseradish in it you simply can't tell. Come on guys, you are supposed to be a seafood restaurant, ack like one. View menu

staff was your average staff, nothing bad but nothing special (not a bad thing . I got the platter of lobster, shrimp, and salmon platter. lobster was over cooked and bland. shrimp was bland and seasonings didn't work well with it. salmon was also overcooked and bland. otherwise their other foods were AMAZING. but that platter was expensive (I believe it was $39 or smth like that. for it to be so bland.

The food was great. Our waitress, Ashton, was very nice and attentive. The only reason for 4 stars is: my lobster tail was just a bit on the dry side (had trouble getting it out of the shell), the dipping butter wasn't very flavorful, and I'd like to suggest adding blue cheese dressing to the salad dressing selection. Wonderful birthday dinner experience over all. I couldn't finish my birthday ice cream ?.
