"I don’t know how the food is at this restaurant, but I am rating them on their customer service. I work for DoorDash and I was picking up a large order for a customer today. When I arrived they were just starting the order so I waited 10-15 mins or so and asked them very politely about how much longer it will be. They lady behind the counter who was working on the order starts yelling at me telling me it is a very large order snd she is doing her best and I just needed to be patient. I had to bite my tongue not to snap back at her. Instead I walked out of the restaurant and called DoorDash to unassign me from the order. I am not going to put up with being treated that way. There was no excuse for it as I was polite to her.As a restaurant EE, you should never treat customers or delivery drivers the way she treated me. Customer Service is just as important as the quality of the food. For this reason, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone."

I absolutely loved the food! I tried the Korean fried chicken wings and spring rolls, and they were incredibly delicious. I definitely plan to come back for more. Food: 5/5 View menu

Pho is delicious. The broth definitely on point and the portions are very generous. Sandwiches are pretty great too. We found a new contender for favorite take out place in Cypress.

The food and service was just simply amazing. Also, they have a much larger selection than most counter service Vietnamese restaurants. I went a couple days ago. Now, I'm on my way again today. This will now be my go-to lunch spot.Food: 5/5

We ordered the shaken beef with fried rice, veggie spring rolls, and shrimp spring rolls and they were all so delicious! Lots of fresh veggies and perfectly cooked veggies. The beef was so tender! We are very impressed with the quality of food. Can?t waitto come back!! View menu

We've been ordering from this restaurant for a while, but I've noticed that during our last few visits, the portion of pork in the vermicelli has been significantly decreasing. A few weeks ago, we ordered, and there were only four pieces of pork in each bowl. We might give it another chance in the future, but given what we paid for such a small amount of food, it won't be anytime soon.

I had a wonderful experience at Retro Cafe, largely thanks to the friendly and accommodating staff. Phoenix and Tony truly went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service. When I accidentally received the wrong order, Phoenix quickly offered a solution and invited me back to make it right. A few weeks later, Tony made sure I was well taken care of by bringing me two bowls of pho. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Retro Cafe to anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience.

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
