"To Melissa 's misinformed response:First, the DoorDash refund was initiated by me and me only not Jaime. She called them for no reason after I told her I already requested and received the refund. DoorDash had the common sense to not only issue me the full refund, but much more, since this was a safety and quality issue. The expired food did affect other locations, as Jaime said products were also pulled from other locations ' shelves. The theme of my review is not just about Revival selling expired food, but the disgusting attitude from Jaime. You also did not acknowledge my praises for Cameron. In dealing with the same situation, Cameron and Jaime were complete opposites. Jaime was rude, condescending, and took zero accountability. Terrible customer service skills. I would not have escalated anything if Jaime had been professional, or even apologized.I am actively escalating this situation and you have Jaime to thank for that.Revival selling expired food and I also experienced deplorable and unacceptable customer service from Jaime (or Jamie) at Davis location. The food came unfresh and expired. No one cared to check the overnight oats and the entire batch was expired and sold at all Revival locations. These were only pulled when I called to ask why the overnight oats tasted so sour, tart, carbonated, and rotten. I initially spoke to a wonderful person named Cameron, who was incredibly kind, apologetic, and genuine. He even said he and others tasted the overnight oats to confirm they were in fact expired.Cameron was the total opposite of Jaime, who made it sound like the customer 's problem. When I asked Jaime for a replacement or a gift card for this experience directly from the store, as a show of accountability and customer loyalty, Jaime basically said absolutely not. She sounded extremely resistant to to make anything right and when I told her I will be posting a review about this and contacting the health board, she sarcastically said PLEASE do! So, that 's what I 'm doing.I 'm hopeful that every employee will learn from Cameron, who I hope becomes a manager. The way he listened and responded to the situation was extremely professional and did not exacerbate the problem, like Jaime chose to do. And it 's really about principle. If Jaime had offered, say a $5 gift card, or said the next one 's on us or something to that effect, or even attempted an apology, then I would have not have felt inclined to post this review and to get the health board involved. But again, she urged me to post this review and to escalate the situation with the health board. Please use caution when dealing with Jaime, if she is still at Revival. But hopefully you come across other professional and much more qualified staff members, especially Cameron, who was such a sweetheart. Learn from him."

Great little cafe that is still open during the construction of the building. I had the zero to hero bagel sandwich (only vegan breakfast sandwich) and my husband has the Jimmy pesto breakfast sandwich. They were both pretty good. There’s also a couple of vegan pastries, too. Also, my latte was delicious! View menu

I won't be returning to this restaurant after reading a review about expired food and bad customer service. I would have expected the business to apologize and make amends for such a serious mistake, but it seems like the customer received unnecessary attitude and no accountability from the staff. I will make sure to share my own experience with Jaime's terrible customer service, as she was condescending and unhelpful when I inquired about vegetarian options.

This restaurant in greater Boston has one of the best coffee programs around, featuring craft roasters, many of them local. They rotate their offerings regularly, so there's always something new to try. They also have decent vegan options, including delicious baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. In addition to the standard egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, they offer a variety of non-vegan options as well. Their bagels are especially tasty, making this cafe a cut above the rest in Cambridge/Somerville.

It is disappointing to see fake reviews being posted by friends of Jaime. As a loyal customer of Revival, I have visited all their locations, including the one on Newbury. However, after hearing about the food quality issues and unprofessional behavior from Jaime, I will not be returning. I have noticed Jaime's aloof vibe compared to her cheerful coworkers. The safety review mentioning Cameron is concerning, but he should be praised for his handling of a customer who received expired food. Revival's cheap and unethical practices are a major disappointment. View menu

The Jimmy Pesto was good. Chicken caesar salad was okay…bland in comparison. There’s a 5% hidden hospitality fee even for takeout orders. We also ordered 2 oat lattes without ice and ended up paying $17. When we looked at the receipt, we were charged $3.50 for no ice (on top of the hidden fees and $2 for alternative milk). Our latte was diluted with so much milk that it was barely coffee anymore. This wouldn’t have left such a sour taste in our mouth if the cashier was transparent about the additional charges. When we asked the cashier about these charges, he shrugged us off and said he didn’t know about it.Would not recommend.

For some reason I really like this café. Maybe it’s the eclectic choice of a book placed on each table, maybe it’s the open casual industrial atmosphere, music at just the right level, maybe it’s that you have to pass by construction equipment and under scaffolding as you try to find the café in the back, maybe it’s that it is located just off the Fitchburg Cutoff Bikepath (if you happen to be riding to Fitchburg, this sounds like a bonus) alongside Alewife Reservation, maybe it’s that the staff is friendly and the café is just the right kind of busy. Whatever it is, its espressos are excellently pulled and served in a Gibraltar glass accompanied by seltzer water on a wooden platter, and its...

"Great casual fine dining experience in a quiet Cambridge neighborhood.Took a visit here for dinner on a Saturday night. Its casual and rustic interior blended in perfectly with the atmosphere of the neighborhood, and our servers were very welcoming. We were initially planning to do the tasting menu, but the regular a la carte menu seemed too good to miss. We ended up ordering a bunch from their regular menu which turned out to be the right decision. The optional focaccia and rye bread with sweet scallion butter was an excellent start to the meal. From the appetizers, we had the kohlrabi cabbage, country terrine, and the scallop crudo. Topped with a mélange of earthy and floral ingredients, the scallop crudo was my favorite from the appetizers. Each bite was creamy and flavorful yet inexplicably light. Sprinkled with cranberries and spiced seeds, the kohlrabi and cabbage salad was also delightful. I especially loved the spiced seed toppings which added the right amount of nuttiness and crunchy texture.Saffron bigoli with leeks and clam sofrito had a slightly boring flavor profile, but the pappardelle verde with lamb sugo was phenomenal. I’m usually not a fan of mint toppings, but it managed to become a perfect complement to the lamb sugo. Subsequent 3 entrées were also amazing. Japanese-inspired soy marinated cod was perfectly tenderized, and its delicate texture paired well with the carrots and leeks soaked in dashi. Forking a concoction of chimichurri sauce, garlic purée, and grilled spring onion with tender pieces of beef teres major was also very satisfying. We finished off the meal with the carrot cake sundae and the lemon poppyseed cake. The dessert section lacked refined taste, but we still appreciated their effort to put something unique and interesting. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner experience at a reasonable price. Would definitely come back some day to try their tasting menu.Parking: Street parking available on Huron Ave Concord Ave"

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
