"We visited from out of town and this place was not what we expected in a good and bad way. The food was delicious my brother had the chicken and waffles and could not stop talking about how wonderful it was, I had the steak and it was cooked the way I asked. Having the live music was good, but if you are not seated at the bar you can't see the band. The menu listed on open table is DEFINITELY not what they serve in house so I was disappointed by that (I was looking forward to something specific). The ambiance feels like an old school southern supper club. Its a hotel restaurant so if you look out one window you are view a side street and if you look out the other its the hotel pool. The service was great, but the inside felt very old and dated. My guess is its the same decor from when they opened the hotel and restaurant (my guess would be the 70s). The bread pudding for dessert was delicious. All in all good experience, just not what we expected!"

It was loud, but the food was good and the wait staff was attentive, although it was a less busy night.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past and always had a great experience, but this time was different. The service was quite slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy.

We anticipated a lively dinner atmosphere filled with music and cocktails, but the dining room was empty and it appeared that staff began closing up at 8 o'clock. The ambiance did not reflect the quality of the service. The food seemed to be merely freeze-dried and most likely microwaved. View menu

eating was incredible, but the service was terrible. the restaurant was not very crowded and we waited for half an hour only for our drinks and then longer to get our food. even when we tried to order a bottle of wine from the wine list, they said that almost no wine was present on the list.

One of the worst meals we had. Service was horrendous and all the meals were under or overcooked. The manager said he was too busy to field our complaint yet there were 5 tables in the dining room. Absolutely do not eat here. There were 8 of us and they automatically charged a 20% tip. Not worth 5%.

That was our first restaurant stop after New Orleans, and it was fantastic! Our waiter was hilarious and offered excellent menu recommendations. The food was locally inspired and absolutely delicious. I had always been curious about fried chicken, and now I understand what all the hype is about—it was incredible! The red beans and rice with sausage were also wonderful. Overall, it was a lovely evening. View menu

We went on Fat Tuesday, yes, crazy as that was. It was terrific! We were in a quiet place in the dining room where we could hear the music nearby, but could have a conversation. Staff were fabulous, and the food was terrific. The crab cake and crawfish gumbo were amazing. Overall a great meal on a traditionally lousy day to get food since so many places are closed, people are hung over, or not into working while others are partying.
