"My family just ate on this amazing diner on the pier. The food was great and the personal service was amazing. We interacted with 3 separate employees and they all made us feel like family. A drink was spilled during dinner. Nobody? Only an accident, but the server still took the blame, then went over all expectations to make it right. WOW. I'm not impressed, but this place has won my business and confident recommendation. We'll be absolutely back. Thanks Ruby!"

This place is so sweet! The service was excellent. People were friendly, our food really came fast, and everything was delicious, especially the shakes! If we weren't out of town, I'd come here all the time.

1st time eating at this location. Ordered a ?, n it was really good. Huge burger, n ?. The burger was really juicy n tasted good. Place gets busy n there is limited seating inside, but u can also sit outside on pier. View menu

Absolutely enjoyed dinner with a view. Enjoyed the fish n chips dinner with a yummy vanilla shake. My hubby had the burger and it was so delicious. Everything we ate was so fresh. Enjoyed watching people fish and families eating on the outside patio. Got to check it out.

I really enjoy Ruby?s. We are vacationing in Southern California and we went to Ruby?s in Anaheim after a day at Disneyland. Today is a beach day and there is conveniently a Ruby?s Diner at the end of the Balboa Pier. The ice cream is great and the food is delicious. I highly recommend.

Food tastes great even though my salad was warm. Customer service was at the top. Although a pigeon flew in and an employee took it with his bare hands and put it out, twice, and went back to work without washing his hands. Overall, I would give this place a 2-3.5 rating. A great place to dine with excellent ocean views. When we went on the weekend, we hardly found table and it took a long time for the order to be taken and delivered. We went to the same place on weekday, 1 or 2 tables were full. I definitely recommend going on weekdays. Excellent milkshakes...

Casual Diner right at the end of Balboa Pier with some great snack options if you are hungry after the beach! Good: Have a strawberry malt and it super hit the spot after a long day riding waves! Fries had a large portion of size and were super tasty and crispy bathroom: Slow service if you order a group No seating area so you need to take it to the beach! Overall a comfortable place and reasonable prices also for the boardwalk.
