"Where to start with this experience....We were sat immediately which was great considering the restaurant was extremely busy. However it took 15 mins for anyone to even bring us water. I have worked in the service industry my entire life so I completely understand things get busy and hectic. When our waitress did finally make it to us, she poured two tiny cups of water and didn't offer to leave pitcher even though every table had one.The food was just okay. Good, but nothing to write home about. The cucumber margarita was pretty good, however my martini was one of the absolute worst I've ever had. Not to mention, they nickel and dime you for every part of that drink $8 for the liquor, $4 for the fact it was a martini, and another $1 for extra olive juice because I asked for a dirty Marti. Also, throughout being there, I had to ask for water 3 times before anyone brought us anymore after our first glass.I highly doubt I'll ever be back or offer it as a recommendation."

Lucked into this excellent casual restaurant with a creative eclectic menu: not huge, but plenty of tasty options. Our food was prepared perfectly, and our server Kiki couldn't have been better. Props from a restaurant professional.

AMAZING! Hands down one of THE best restaurant In Wilmington, NC. Cornbread slider is my favorite entree at the restaurant, I’m not a fan of Pimento cheese or fried green tomatoes but it blends so well on the corn bread. The tacos were great as well with the fried grits, love love love! Must visit.Food: 5/5

Rumcow is exactly the kind of farm fresh eating experience I crave. The ambiance reminds me of one of my family's long-time favorites, Basics. The grilled chicken salad, with strawberry vinaigrette, goat cheese, and shaved almonds is perfectly understated. Simple goodness. The space is airy, with lots of glass, rustic pine, painted brick gives Rumcow a modern antique feel.My family has vacationed in Wilmimgton for nearly two decades. We're 100% coming back to Rumcow. View menu

I can only say that this restaurant is outstanding in my opinion! The food is unique and served fresh and piping hot. The atmosphere is really cool, and the service was exceptional. Sam Hammer did a fantastic job managing everything and was incredibly attentive. It was one of the best birthday dinners I've ever had! If you haven't been yet, you're really missing out; it's officially my new favorite spot in Wilmington. It's now our go-to place before we head to a comedy show.

The Korean flank steak was cooked beautifully and came with mashed potatoes and mini Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately, the Brussels sprouts could have used a bit more cooking. The char-crusted tuna salad was delicious and paired wonderfully with the blood orange vinaigrette. For dessert, we had the rum cake, which was nice, but the vanilla ice cream served with it was unfortunately melted when it arrived. Despite a couple of minor missteps, our overall experience was still very enjoyable.

My partner and I wanted to place an order for takeout. I tried calling twice and it rang through to voicemail both times. We really wanted burgers and liked the options we saw on the menu so we decided to stop in, place our order, wait for it, and take it. We waited at the bar for about 30 minutes (they did tell us that the kitchen was backed up due to having a larger party). When we got home with the food, we were pretty disappointed. We had both requested our burgers be medium well but the burger was undercooked in the middle to the point where I didn’t finish it. Our fries were rock hard. Giving two stars for the toffee rum cake. That was great. View menu

The place is across the street from the hotel that we stayed in this past week! One look at the menu and the choice to go was immediate. The restaurant is in a row of older buildings. It is very unassuming from the outside, but very spacious on the inside! The decor is very tasteful and the staff are all terrific! We waited less than 2 minutes to be seated! I got an alternative “Screwdriver” that has lime instead. The shrimp and grits tacos are a wonderful take my favorite dish. I also found out that pork is used for the dish instead of the Andouille sausage that I have eaten in my local area.Vegetarian options: My better half got sliders that she really enjoyed!

The food was outstanding! The wait staff was friendly and attentive, managing a group of 32 with skill and precision. They handled all the details seamlessly, making everything run smoothly. Whether you're looking for a fun, tasty lunch or a venue for a special gathering, Rumcow is an excellent choice. They offer delicious dishes with a special flair without being too extravagant. We considered several other downtown restaurants, but I'm so glad we chose Rumcow! Regarding dietary restrictions, our group of 32 had five individuals with specific needs, and Rumcow made special accommodations for them. They even took notes to prevent cross-contamination. All in all, a wonderful experience!
