"We had arrived earlier that day after a excruciatingly long trip and we felt completely unadventurous. This restaurant having a really good rating we didn't think twice... it's not bad, service is very good, cocktails are really good (this is the case in a gazillion places though), but the price was off by at least a mile, one of the point of a lot of Asian restaurant is making it easy for people to order a lot and share it's made difficult here by prices much over what we expected. I could easily have ordered more dim sum but I was put off by the prices. The quality itself is good but not above average. If we had stayed more I would have asked locals around to find a more authentic place.Consider it but do not plan a trip around this place."

The food is delicious, not too over priced but not cheap as well. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. The location is good and parking is not too hard to find. The drinks are a little overpriced and I didn't find it special. We ordered variety of food and shared it amongst everybody.

The staff were extremely kind and gave us great suggestions! All the food was so incredible but my mouth is still watering from the Korean Fried Chicken. To date, I believe that was the best fried chicken I have ever had. I cannot wait to go back, and recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends.

Was impressed by both the beautiful decor and the food. Service was out of this world. We ordered a variety of different items to try and enjoyed them all. Dumplings were absolutely delicious, spring rolls were awesome and the prawns were to die for. New favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Highly recommended!

So glad to have found this gem! We loved the menu suggestions from the waitress! She was a delight - very friendly and engaging, and talked us into interesting drinks and dessert of course! This was a fun night and a great meal. Not your typical Asian fare, much more adventurous in flavors! Would definitely go here again. Highly recommended. View menu

I went to Sai Woo last weekend for the 4th time and the food was delicious. The food seems to be getting better and better. The service was great. Knowledgeable staff. We sat in a booth and the restaurant has a great atmosphere and perfect for people watching. It was a fun evening but the one thing that I still think about is the delicious food. The best is to get a variety of dishes and share. Yum!!!

The restaurant is located in the China Town district of Vancouver. I start by saying that I didn't like the neighborhood very much, but this restaurant really surprised me. Looking at it from the outside it looks like the classic Chinese tavern, but inside it reveals a modern and elegant furniture. The waitress is very nice and helpful. The menu is complete with everything. We asked her to recommend some dishes, including a very good Chinese paella. The restaurant has an open kitchen which I personally love. Great beer and spectacular desserts! Absolutely to try ...!

We have just returned from a meal at Sai Woo. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really welcome and valued. We were given the option to move tables when a more intimate one became available. Our waitress, Emily was super and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us with our choices and was friendly and attentive without ever being too obtrusive. We particularly loved the fried chicken and the Chinese paella - the portions are generous and overall its excellent value. Sadly, we are flying home tomorrow but should we return, this restaurant is on our 'must do' list. (The Huxtables) View menu

I think I've said it all in the title of my review! The beauty of this restaurant can only be felt when you are standing inside. The design of the restaurant is very inviting with the open kitchen in the back, where you can view the chefs making your meal, if you so desire! The presentation of the food was wonderful! The service was second to none! Our server was polite, flexible personality that gelled with everyone at our table. There was 5 of us at this dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal! Excellent work SAI WOO! Thank you for the great dining experience in Chinatown! I wouldn't expect a restaurant of this caliber to be in Chinatown! Everything was so clean! Karin Sahota

I had to find a venue to host my birthday dinner but was traveling at the time and was unable to talk on the phone. However, Salli was really good at replying through emails really quickly making the set up super simple. I had a group of 18 girls and ordered the $25 canapes meal option (cauliflower dish, noodle dish and porky belly dish - family style and their cauliflower dish is AMAZING). Salli even tied foil star balloons around my table which made it extra special - super sweet. Tracey was our server for the night and she's the most pleasant server, just really warm and had really great drink recommendations. Overall really pleasant experience and I would definitely reccomend. Their drin...
