"We went Saturday for lunch. Surprisingly there was plenty of seating for a Saturday and the hostess/server was very attentive, refilled our water in a timely manner and did not rush us to order or finish. The food was perfect (we had calamari, seafood pasta, pizza, and tiramisu for dessert). The ingredients were high quality which definitely elevated the fresh flavors of every dish. I absolutely loved how fresh the seafood was and the calamari was perfect. The tiramisu was so good, we pre-ordered some for our family member's birthday next week. I could definitely tell how well kept the entire restaurant is. It was a very rare occasion when we finished all the food!! This place is a rare gem and a happy surprise for us."

Good pizzas and friendly people. I think it is the best around the north side ... Highly recommend for everyone who wants to try the original one from Napoli Italy ??. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Pizza.

For how long we had to wait, while the place was dead, AND for the pizza to be just nothing more than meh...that's a no from me. Sauce is flavorless and the pizza was WAAAAAY under done in like the worst way. Don't over topping your pie if you can't cook it through. Service was good but never again will i dine again.

Chicago is great, but the pizza can be a hit or miss. In Italy, every pizza is consistently delicious, and you eat it with a fork! SAPORI Napoletani offers pizza that's reminiscent of Italy, bursting with flavor. The waitstaff is incredibly friendly, and we just happened to find this gem. We would definitely go back, and we plan to!

My family hails from Serino, Italy, just outside of Naples. This is one of only two restaurants in the Chicagoland area that truly captures the flavors of the old country. The pizzas are outstanding, and I don't mind the drive, even though I pass two other brick oven pizzerias along the way. The selection of beer and wine is excellent, and the customer service is exceptional. View menu

My experience was that half of the servers were helpful. Got to drink half my beers, every time I had half a bottle left the other half of the servers.. cleared away the bottle..not once but three times! My strong suggestion… either learn to make a calzone… which has a pasta dough top over the filling! Or take off the menu.. trying to put toppings on a dollop of dough is not good. The beer is expensive… especially as you only get to spring half the bottle! Could do with improvement…

It was our first time there on Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all even though the host failed to communicate that this restaurant charges extra for substitutions. The host said they can substitute any vegetable, so instead of mushrooms we asked for olives. The bill had over charged for mushrooms even though it’s a substitute. If you call it a substitute that shouldn’t cost anything extra. If you want to charge extra then please disclose that to your new customers. Vegetarian options: Pizza and pasta

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
