"We started with some bread that appeared to be thinly sliced ciabatta rolls. They might have been enjoyable if they weren't slathered in an excessive amount of cold, unmelted butter. My prime rib was soggy and cold; I ordered it medium well, but it seemed more like rare. The dish came with a small scoop of bland mashed potatoes, presented in a haphazard manner, as if it had been plated by a rushed teenager. It was just a soggy piece of undercooked meat sitting in a pool of juices, alongside a small mound of nearly flavorless potatoes. There were no chives, no gravy, and no garnish. The only highlight of the meal was the arugula salad that preceded the main course, which was decent. My wife ordered blackened Mahi Mahi, but it had an unappealing texture and lacked sufficient seasoning. It was poorly cooked, even in comparison to something you might prepare at home. The presentation was similarly rushed and unprofessional, and it was accompanied by dry, charred Brussels sprouts. Though my wife typically enjoys Brussels sprouts, she left these untouched. Our son, who is seven, had kid's fish and chips but barely touched his fries. Our fourteen-year-old daughter had salmon, which she mostly finished and said was decent, but she too opted to leave the dry sprouts on the plate. Normally, I wouldn't mention the presentation in a review, but when you end up spending $300 on a dinner that nobody wanted to finish, it should at least look professionally done. Our server appeared awkward and rushed, despite the restaurant not being full. She seemed quite stressed, likely due to being understaffed, which is common in many places these days. They brought us the wrong dessert, left an uncomfortable number of dirty dishes on our table, and served everyone water except for our son, who had to ask for a refill. Overall, it was a peculiar evening. I wish we could have revisited the positive experiences we used to have here. We left feeling extremely disappointed and are unlikely to return."

Food was awesome! Service not so great. Amazing that there are SO MANY staff here, yet you can feel invisible.

Our server, Danielle, was excellent: friendly, cheerful, attentive. Mashed potatoes on both our plates were too stiff and not hot enough. All else was good. View menu

It's an all around good place. The bar is priced right with a good menu. The restaurant is mellow and nice. I like it because it's not uber fancy or Denny's divearific. If I ever got a date I'd probably take them there.

The food is excellent, but every time we visit, it’s difficult to hear each other because of the noise from all the other diners talking. After all, talking is part of the dining experience. The acoustics in the restaurant are quite poor.

Outstanding salmon (the best piece of salmon I’ve ever tasted! and great prime rib with excellent French Onion soup and arugula salad. The crème brûlée was top notch, the pinot grigio excellent. Our waitress Julie was impeccable. Strongly recommended We shall return soon! View menu

I ordered the fish and chips, which came with three generous pieces of fish. They were coated in a wonderfully crispy hand-battered exterior and were moist and tender on the inside. My friend tried the fish tacos, which featured smaller pieces of fish akin to mine, accompanied by a spicy slaw and avocado relish. She enjoyed her meal just as much. Scott's is one of my favorite local restaurants. The food is always delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Sat in the lounge. A couple of tables were occupied with 2 people and there was one table of 9 ladies. Our server struggled with how to manage. We felt we were an afterthought. French Onion soup Good, Lobester Mac Cheese Good flavor but where were the lobster chunks? Salmon on my Ceasar was also good. We also ordered calamari it was late to the table. Partner saw it sit under the warmer for a good 10 minutes : Table was never bussed. Had request water refills. Did not feel valued at a customer who has made the choice to dine there. No need to go back.

"The Delish is in the Details MDH invited me out to lunch, so based on a recent review, I suggested Bistro 76 Cafe and Catering, in Perrinville, just north of Edmonds. They're known locally for their breakfasts (including house made cinnamon rolls on the weekends), but we're slow risers. Menu perused, five of six lunch sandwich options were approved for sharing (no mushrooms), and a trade deal was struck. Grilled Cheese and Spiced Butternut Bisque for me, and a Reuben with Sweet Potato and Ham Soup for him. We swapped soup bowls twice. The Spiced Butternut Bisque had more depth of flavor and a hint of sweetness, while the Sweet Potato's little hits of ham made it solidly enjoyable, if simpler. Our sandwiches, of good size, scored points for the artisan bread, toasted but not so crunchy as to rake the roof of your mouth, soft, fresh, rye ciabatta, the tenderest corned beef I've ever had, and white cheddar/smoked gouda and gruyere cheeses, instead of just a basic cheddar or swiss. The tomato and red onion concasse sang in harmony on the Grilled Cheese, and the guinness molasses mustard quietly hummed on the Reuben. Not only was the food tasty, but pretty, too. A zigzag of white crema across the soups, plus a dusting of spice, heightened our anticipation, even before the spoons broke the surface. Everybody knows that sandwiches taste better cut into triangles, with frilly toothpicks. We took home an order of Banh Mi Tacos for dinner (or second lunch, as a hobbit might suggest), because they sounded so good, and will be going out of rotation for a while. Also, since so many folks ask for breakfasty goodness midday, a couple lunch item slots may make way for more morning foods. One of the chefs kindly chatted with us for a bit, and thus we learned that one can sometimes purchase their lemon curd, jam, or salad dressing to take home. Let me sing you a song of lemon curd, with choruses on fresh squeezed juice, butter, sugar and egg yolks, cooked into custardly thickness. Bistro 76 caters, too. When there's kindness in the kitchen, it comes out in the food. Read Seattle Refined's review for more background on the restaurant and its team. P.S. We will soon be getting up early for breakfast on a weekend, if I have anything to say about it. The pictures I've seen of their cinnamon rolls give me hope that somewhere other than my own kitchen, a moist and substantial cinnamon bun is being produced. Most are too fluffy, and dry. That's the reason I still make homemade yeast rolls for holiday meals, too."
